I’m reviewing the taqueria inside Chepes Super Market, and wow! $10 for a giant burrito?! Sign me up! It was extremely filling and had all the fixings - beans, rice, lettuce, sour cream, and cheese. I asked for no tomato. The fajita was flavorful and cooked with a nice crisp to it. I would definitely order the burrito again. The quesadilla however, was made by a different worker, and as you can see from the image, it was very close to burning all the way. The workers seemed distracted and couldn’t remember the orders correctly. There were about 5 other people along with me waiting for their food and the ladies cooking seemed to forget what to do. Overall, they were pretty nice and friendly. The barbacoa in the quesadilla was good despite the charred taste of the flour tortilla. When I went to pay, it was also a bit confusing because the only 2 workers up front seemed to be very focused on their conversation. I had to wave my food at the top asked where I paid, until one just held out her hand for my food ticket, never greeting me or stopping her conversation with the other worker. Food is great but I’m removing a star...
Read moreBe careful shopping here! I’ve gone several times because I live close but I much rather drive to a bigger store now. They’re rude and also if you aren’t careful I notice they steal! They will advertise a price for produce but if you aren’t careful it always rings up higher at register. It’s happened 3 times already. And also the past two times I’ve been there they don’t have change. They will say oh no change and she cashier tried giving me some gum for it. One time is okay… I guess… but it’s happened to other people I know also. This is a grocery store they should have change and if not then put a sign up they don’t have cash! When I complained with a male employee he said it’s the customers job to have exact...
Read moreBy fair their biggest flaw are cashiers. They don't greet, they don't smile, very little communication, and overall very rude attitude. It's almost as if they don't want to be there. At times they give their phones priority over the line of customers.
Their chicharron is pretty mediocre as well, lacking texture and flavor.
The rest of the store is pretty small, dimly lit (making it seem dirty), and fairly crowded.
On top of that, their prices are above average from what I normally see in meat markets closer to town.
It's an OK little meat market that gets you out of a hurry when in need of fresh meats, but there are many departments where they need to focus...
