The falls are beautiful and right across from the parking lot. No hiking required to see the falls. Just a dependable vehicle to get down the road, which has lots of ruts and deep holes. The hike itself is steep and vigorous. I wouldn't say you need to be in the best shape to do this hike, but you would benefit from having appropriate footwear. The steep grade makes sliding very easy. This is an in and out trial, so just as steep as you are going up, you're faced with the challenge of coming back down. You essentially have to walk an additional 1.8 miles, just to get to the trailhead.
