I signed up for a beginners fitness class with my service dog. Unfortunately due to health issues, I’ve been unable to walk and have been in and out of the hospital for the past two weeks. I reached out to the instructor and let her know I don’t think I’d be able to continue classes sadly. I asked if I could be credited so I could retake the course when my health permits. I didn’t ask for a refund, but the instructor informed me she had a meeting with the owner in a few days and would ask about a refund or credit (again, I didn’t ask for a refund because I really wanted to take the course). After following up, I was told I could not receive class credit for a future class nor a partial refund, which is very disappointing. As a disabled person, I’m often excluded from things because unexpected health things come up. I don’t control my health and the owner and instructor were not accommodating of that which is very disappointing. Lastly, 3 of us had missed the first class (I missed it due to an accident on the highway and the mass pike being shut down) so the instructor stated she’d most likely be adding a 7th class anyway. But when I requested this credit, I was told that because it was after the second class, it’s not possible. The instructor herself stated the first class didn’t really count because majority of people didn’t attend. I won’t be back, I don’t want to support a business that doesn’t have empathy, especially when I offered medical proof several times throughout our conversations.
ETA after their response: they 100% knew what the scheduling conflicts were as I communicated with my instructor as soon as I knew I most likely wouldn’t be able to continue attending. They knew it was due to medical reasons, because again, I offered doctors notes and hospitalization proof. If they truly cared/were concerned, they’d be more...

She was only 2 years old when the first one happened. She gained some weight during her recovery process because her activity level dropped dramatically while healing. And even after she was cleared for activity again she was hesitant to use her back legs. Her endurance tanked, she went on weight loss food and we tried to increase her activity while still respecting her boundaries with her legs. But we weren’t making much progress alone. Then she started experiencing locking up in her back knee and we knew that it was time to get some extra help. So we went to Canine New England and started Luna on laser and underwater treadmill therapy. Every therapist and member of staff at the facility is incredible. They are kind, knowledgeable, and very loving towards every patient they see. They gave us the tools and technology needed to give Luna the jumpstart she needed to be her old self again. They knew exactly what to target after her evaluation and stayed on top of her progress no matter who was bringing us through the therapy that session. And after 6 weeks of therapy, at home exercises, and determination on our part and Luna’s, she is back to hiking again. Her weight is back in a healthy range and she acts like a puppy again. If you need any sort of therapy for your pet this is the place to go. I cannot thank the staff here enough for giving my best friend her life back and making her strong, healthy, and...
Read moreA Second Family
For 1.5 years, Canine New England was more than just a place for my aging dog, Kayla, to get some exercise, to my surprise, it became our second family. From the very beginning, Patti, Olivia, Alexis and the incredible team took the time to get to know both of us, creating a bond that Kayla and I cherished deeply.
Kayla always looked forward to her visits, eagerly anticipating the warm greetings and gentle care she received. As the end grew near, Patti and Olivia were always honest with me, ensuring that I wasn’t holding onto Kayla longer than she could manage. Their support and guidance during those final months were invaluable, providing comfort and reassurance when we needed it most.
I highly recommend Canine New England for any therapy needs, especially for aging dogs. Their compassion, professionalism, and genuine love for animals make them an exceptional choice for anyone seeking the best care for their furry family members.
Thank you Patti, Olivia, Alexis and the rest of Canine...
