Completely disappointed. I was very understanding and patient in waiting nearly 2 weeks for the owner to price some items I wanted for my son for Christmas that I found in a first visit. I was given a coupon after that first visit and purchase. After I returned to look though the things she priced, she did not honor the coupon because of some loophole is her extremely complicated system since things had changed since my first visit. Well I did wait 2 weeks so she should honor the coupon. The coupon said it was good on any single item except clearance items and dotted items, none of which applied to the things I was interested in. Her prices were higher than ebay for the same thing, new and unopened. It's now too close to Christmas for me to find replacements for my son. I know she will justify her actions with a reply, but she will never have my business again. Heed my warning and check your items versus ebay pricing before buying. Buyers beware.
Reply to response from owner: You didn't offer to match the price. You just kept saying 'well human error, human error, mercari has it for more'. Not sure how you made that error on pricing every single of the over 20 Pixar Cars I was looking at. Every one was priced as though they were new or in good condition. Several of those cars had bent wheels and large paint chips. Ebay is a very reliable pricing guide as it is one of the longest standing online outfits for used goods.....you sell used things so using overpriced mercari that has so many added fees isn't comparable. After making an appointment a month in advance, calling the owner Antoinette (as she requested) three separate times to confirm she would take various items (so as not to waste anyone's time), cleaning, bagging, and labeling items...I left my appointment in frustration, after being accused of lying by an employee, and decided not to consign anything at all. I had barely walked in the door when employee Emily told me they were "only taking ride-ons." As I questioned her further, it expanded to "only taking outdoor play" - when I brought in a snap and go stroller, I was told that they would take that...confused yet? I was, and even more put off by the rude, condescending tone of the employee. Emily asked who I scheduled my appointment with and I told her Antoinette - I told her I spoke to Antoinette three separate times to confirm what they would take - and, this was the final straw, she said, "that's not possible, she's the owner, she would have told you that we were only accepting ride-ons." I was simply stunned that Emily accused me of lying! She was beyond rude throughout the entire interaction - so much so that I am now writing my first negative review ever! I tried to consign despite hearing other similar negative reviews because I had personally had nice interactions with the owner, as a paying customer. Lesson learned. Don't waste your time here. Read moreBeen coming to this place for at least 7 years. Never had any problems with any of the items. Today I accidentally bought the wrong toy. Called the owner back within 1 hour to ask to exchange it. Then was told that I could not exchange my item... that all sales were final; and that I could possibly do consignment in a few months. The item was under $20.00. I would have exchanged that item and purchased $100 more of items. That was my plan. The owner sounds nice but the customer service and reference to exchanges is horrible. It's not a good business practice to not accept exchanges from returning customers within 1 hour of purchase. It's also not a good business practice not to accept returns in general with receipts for certain items. It's also not a good business practice to tell your customers that you appreciate them while the actions don't match the words. Especially if it's a returning customer that would have spent way more money than what he initially spent after returning it. For $16.99 I found out what this place truly means. Hello level store with no business class. So I guess I got off cheap to find this out. Unfortunately, will not be returning to this place ever again. Never seen anyone talk themselves out of something that would have been way more beneficial for them than the final decision...
