I want to say 1st that the ladies that bagged our groceries and the gentleman that checked us out were, in fact, STELLAR! The manager standing watching his employees work was an absolute tailhole. My pocketbook was under my groceries so my husband scanned his ID. We had our adult children with us (who recently moved home) they got in the line next to us and my husband stepped over in line with them. When it came time, he scanned his ID and helped them check out, the manager was VERY VERY disrespectful to my husband stating he could not "share" his ID. I explained that mine was at the bottom of my huge grocery pile and that I have my own ID. He was going to make the cashier re-ring the groceries so my ID was on the 3 carts worth. It was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. We have had IDs for over 30 yrs now, my husband was active duty for 25 of those years and we would NEVER do something disrespectful or not on the up and up. We are both sight impaired and my husband can not stand for long periods of time, so we need assistance getting thru the commissary. We will not be back, I would rather spend more money than be spoken to the way we were and embarrassed. I am unsure who the manager was but the incident happened on 9/1/23 at closing, I will find out who he was because he needs some sensitivity training. I over heard him talking to our cashier when we were complete and he was extremely rude to him. I am so sorry sir, it was...
Read moreIt's always a Great Day when you can take your father out to the commissary or anywhere else he would like to go. For as much as my Parents have done for me throughout my life, there's no way that I could ever in my life time pay them back so I figured that the best thing that I can do for them now is to just be there for them and do anything and everything that they want or need, I know that everyone always says the same thing, there's no other Parents like the ones that I have and I have to say that my mother in-law and Father in-law all 4 of them had to have came out of the same mold. So my father is Ret Air Force 33 yrs active Duty and he recently had to stop driving so I told him that I think they do that too ya is because they knew that you had a Driver from here on out. Anything from here on out, they don't have to worry about anything. My Parents are the...
Read moreThis commissary is an absolute mess. All your frozen food isles are down, except for one, produce looks terrible, store brand items are more expensive than namebrand items such as your facial tissues! We used to be able to save money shopping at the commissary. That’s just not the fact anymore and I pay a hearty surcharge!! Why is it taking two years to finish the roof on this store? It’s a crying shame that you can’t do more for your military members. You used to be able to find good buyes here and that’s just hardly ever the case anymore. You’re forcing me to shop at Kroger and Walmart and I hate doing that. Don’t you think it’s about time you get your act together to satisfy the shoppers here Who have faithfully and honorably served their country and get very little in return for it. These days this commissary is a little more than a...
