Meijer — Local services in Warren

Myers is always nice. But I have a suggestion that I would like to get paid for but in prison they have what's called a PPD or personal protection device for the officers which works off of a small network of sensor devices inside of the buildings and housing areas and they are so accurate that they can even tell EXACTLY where the officers are if they need to send him or her, assistance, and can tell even if the officers are laid back in their chairs sleeping on the job, or even if the officer is standing still for to long and maybe in distress.

I was thinking that maybe that same technology can go inside of supermarkets, and ALL the big stores so that you don't get lost when you don't understand the characteristics and categories of the food and products when you're trying to go directly to what you need when you don't have time and I have to ALWAYS ask even non employees where things are.

So it would simply be, someone can load up an app or even the stores app, and put in the products that they want and then the software will have the arrows on the screen just like the Apple air tags have and it guide you directly to the product, and you can use something like speech to text to speak the item in for even better efficiency.

I even understand supermarket tactics as far as placement of items for better impulse buying control but there's even a space there for when people want to be serenaded and they just want to regularly spend their time in the supermarket shopping.

I'm giving this review one star so that Meijers and others may take notice and possibly do a few upgrades, but otherwise Meijers is ALWAYS nice.

One other thing. I put my knowledge exchange advertisement on the employee of the month board and a lady called, real racist like, and after I agreed to not have it on the board, she continued to emit fear in me by doubling with a threat of involving dirty cops. I had to beg her to stop.

Please find her. Also there was a lady attempting to sign people up in your store with her own credit card and giving a small case of pop? Deeply disproportional to the credit damage she was about to do to peoples credit on sign up.

Please address these...

I was at the store buying supplies to make masks and I lost my wallet. I stood in line to ask at customer service if it was turned in when the following scene occured.

The guy in front if me needed to return an item. The rep let him know she could not because of COVID. He started raising his voice complaining that he just needed to exchange. She continued to try to explain that she couldn't but he kept talking over her. He got loud and angry about the fact that the Item was broken and he just needed to exchange. She repeated herself again about current procedure. After he huffed off, the guy behind me in line says "does that mean I can't return this item i just bought" she explained (a bit annoyed given the convo that had JUST ended) that due to COVID, she couldn't return anything, no matter when it was purchased and that there were signs at the register explaining that. He aggressively says something about his sister already bought what he just bought and he needs to return it. She explained again that she couldn't. He complained more but eventually he walked away.

After another 10ish mins of me freaking out running all over the store looking for my wallet when I went to sit at customer service and wait for my partner to come to pay the stuff I had gotten. I was on the bench when I realized that guy was back and berating that c/s rep again. He demanded a manager and complaining that she was incredibly rude. He was complaining to the manager when he noticed me and asked me to corroborate his story. I said, he was the rude one and she was just informing him of procedure while he was acting entitled. He didn't like that but lucky for me my partner got there just after. I walked away to look for my wallet more when the c/s rep approached me to let me know she appreciated my sticking up for her and that she had bought the items I was getting for me.

I waited til the guy was gone from customer service and I approached the manager to let her know what had happened. She handled both angry, entitled guys like a skilled c/s rep, while they threw their childlike tantrums. Give her a raise. She...

Their lunch meat and hotdog they'll kind of pricey, but it's better than KROGER. I could get a 24 pack of hotdog for three dollars cheaper compared to KROGER I mean OK it's probably on a sale but when there's a sale going on, you tend to buy more than one just so you have the option if you're wanting to eat the second one. It almost makes me feel like I'm in Wonderland because the place is big and it has so much to choose from a selection of like everything. The one problem I have, though I would say with Meijer is if I was shopping for clothes or shoes and I need help there's these two women that are always talking to each other. Then they tell me one minute, but then 15 minutes goes by and it's like makes me not wanna shop here because of the female employees that rather talk to each other's ear off then help a customer look for what she's needing to find so she can purchase the item and go home with the item, but instead I was late for a doctors appointment because I was waiting for them to finish up there talking if you're at a job, why are you talking to somebody that you could talk to at lunchtime or hang out with them after work when you're at work you work you don't have personal time so when a customer is waiting for 15 minutes for help and you're still talking about getting your hair and nails done after work What do you wanna do first you wanna get her hair hair done or do you wanna do the nails or should we do the nails and then do our hair? Is there a place where they do both so we can get our hair done while our nails are getting done yeah this is perfect. Talk when you're working at MEIJER not help the customer find something what she's wanting or needing but you're gonna have a conversation for now 20 minutes about hair and nails when the customer is hey can I get some help?
