We accidentally found this quilt shop as we camped our way down to Baton Rouge from Washington state. We stopped in as I’m a Sewist and quilter. We found the shop very cute and the owner Lori was very welcoming as we spent a good 30 minutes talking. It was very refreshing to find her quaint quilt shop after a very disappointing visit to the commercialized Missiouri Star Quilt Company. It just reaffirms that we need to support actual small business owners who really care about their customers and their customers experience. If you’re in the area I highly recommend this quilt shop. My first time At the Lake Quilt Shop I was so happy!!!! I was amazed at the fabric prices, what a wonderful discovery!!! I am a customer for life. When I moved here I was so sad about the prices I was paying for fabric, I was shopping on line sometimes I got what I wanted other times no. You have to be able to walk around and feel the fabric, put the fabric together, ask for advice. I finally found my fabric shop. Everyone is wonderful that work there and are customers.
