Hill-Top Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Warsaw

I have never been to the Truman lake area, so I went to yelp and Google reviews to find which location had the area's best food. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, so I wanted it to be excellent food with a positive atmosphere. Neither of us are high maintenance types. We both like excellent food and great atmospheres. There was both in this Bar-b-q location. The food was incredible. We split the rib-ham-brisket dinner and it was sufficient for both of us. The food was exceptional. The waiter made us feel at home, and since the place was populated by locals that all knew each other, being made to feel equally welcome was brilliant. Straight up amazing BBQ and no other way to put it. Down home sides and fixings. Locally owned and operated with friendly staff that don't know a stranger. They'll make you feel like family! Ribs and pulled pork as good or better than a y big city bbq!! And even tho it's not on the menu, ask for the mac and cheese bowl! White cheddar mac with rotini pasta served with pulled pork on top. Mmmmm.... my mouth is watering just typing this... And if you don't know which sauce you prefer, I recommend mixing the two for the perfect smoke with a touch of sweet! Two enthusiastic thumbs up! We go there every couple of months for their divine ribs. Tater salad, slaw, baked beans are the best. We’ve been to many bbq places all over missouri and have been disappointed at most of them. HillTop BBQ is our favorite, hands down (on our plate!!). Great casual, homey, friendly atmosphere. Clean, small & cozy. Good portions fill you up.
