STEP BACK IN TIME — Local services in Washington

Went here for the first time yesterday. I found several things I would like to have but dont have the space for at this time. There were even more items items I didnt know I wanted. I really enjoyed the Patsy Cline CD being played (perfect fit for the atmosphere). I was looking for horse shoes to clean up for gifts to friends and while they had some...not the style I wanted. The prices seemed to be either right in line with other shops for the most part. However, some of the hand planes were ridiculously priced. I will be the first to admit I do not know a lot about models or types (maybe these were rare, they were in excellent condition). Wonderful 3 level antique and decorative store in downtown Washington. A variety of vendor styles and tastes make for an enjoyable afternoon of searching for interesting items in a variety of price points. Old glass, primitives, old advertising, toys...all represented. Prices are very reasonable in most booths. The proprietors are friendly and helpful. This should be on your US 24...

Enjoyed walking around the 3 floors looking for treasures. I felt like it wasn’t overly crowded to where I was too overwhelmed to find anything, and the displays were well thought out and beautifully crafted. I even got some inspiration for how to decorate my own home....
