TEK-IT Audio Video Network Automation — Local services in Washington

My wife and built a new house and our builder used TEK-IT to pre-wire the house for all of our low-voltage, internet, and A/V wiring. During construction I spoke with Charles several times and explained our needs. He developed systems that accomplished my goals and were within the price range we discussed with no hidden fees or charges.

The intial work included wiring every room with CAT5 network outlets and low-voltage wiring, running speaker wires to the locations we chose, running CAT5 wire for security cameras, and running coax to our TV locations.

Once construction was completed, Charles and his assistant John came back to complete the installation. This ranged from installing a SONOS system with in-ceiling speakers, mounting our TVs, mounting security cameras, and installing a router. All of this equipment is controlled by a single remote control which connects to a rack-mounted system in our garage. No ugly wires running to multiple boxes under the TV! It's a great system.

There were two minor issues that popped up (one was our fault / one was equipment related). Both times Charles was very prompt at returning my calls and correcting the issues. His level of customer service is rare in this market!

A few months after we moved in I had TEK-IT come back to install automation control for our Lutron shades and am planning to have him install lighting controls soon.

Charles and his team at Tek-It were absolutely a pleasure to work with. We purchased a 12 year old home that advertised having a wired sound system and just needed amplifiers to run the 21 speakers mounted throughout the large home. Charles came out to give us a bid and upon inspection of the 21 speakers we found out, much to our shock and surprise, there were just empty speaker housings mounted in the ceilings. A new definition of “Air Speakers”.

This increased to cost of getting our system up and running more than we could afford. 21 speakers and matching housings are not cheap.

Charles worked with us to modify the number of speakers needed and use volume controllers to enable us to use less speakers but, still have an awesome sounding and easy to use system.

Charles cares about his customers unique needs and takes absolute pride in ensuring that the customer is satisfied. He’s not happy if you’re not overjoyed with your audio system.

Tek-It is a professional home audio company. They’re installation is flawless. Every component and cable is clearly labeled. They made sure we understood how to operate the modern easy to use system. If we had a question, they were just a call or text away.

From the time I first contacted Tech-It they have listen and provided the feedback I needed to put in my house, which I recently remodeled, a house wired network system and a home theater. It was a breath of fresh air that this company actually answered their phone a provided a knowledgeable and courteous proposal manager, Alex was very thorough and understanding. When I got the proposal I was impressed with the detail, but it could have had more in both the AV and Network line items. I wanted and they provided a turnkey system which is professionally designed in stalled and integrated.
