First off want to say I absolutely love going to places like Traderbakers and try and stop by each chance I get but today was an awful experience. I did show up about 25 mins before closing and was not there 10 mins before they shut the lights off on me so I had to turn my flashlight on from my phone just to navigate back to the front. When I get to the front I asked if I could have a glass case unlocked to buy baseball cards. I usually spend about $80-$100 on them when I see unopened packs like I had seen here. The time was 5:50 which according to their website is 10 mins before they close but when I asked if I could get the case unlocked I was told no bc they lights were already out all while there is an older couple just beginning to check out. I don’t understand the logic on why they can not open a case after the lights were out but can open the cash register. I know if it was me who paid money to have that spot in the store to sell my cards etc. I would not be happy knowing they would not allow a customer to purchase my items. The main objective of my trip today was to inquire about setting up a spot for myself to sell a large collection of professional championship sports rings and other sports memorabilia. After being told no as a customer 10 minutes before they are actually supposed to be closing that I can’t buy something and that they open at 10AM to come back tomorrow just leaves a very bad impression of this location and not that it will make much of a difference but it’s safe to say I will pursue other options vs renting any space here. I couldn’t imagine other vendors being very pleased to have witnessed such unprofessional behavior. I guess Traderbakers can get away with such poor customer service considering they get there money from vendors renting the space and not from the items inside. On a final note I must add that I have never left a negative review for any business ever and it truly makes me sad knowing how much I love and enjoy coming to these types of places that I will no longer be visiting the only one 15 mins or less from my home. Do better. Please do...
Read moreI really do like this place! It has so much stuff in different booths. Each booth is rented by someone different & their is such a variety of things & prices. Their really is something for everyone. The reason I gave it 2 stars is simply based on my last visit. If you're going to go here, then I just advise you to get there before the last hour. They are more rushed and kinda rude. They shut the lights out early, I still had almost 20 minutes before they closed, and the lights started shutting down in the store except the very front area. If you wanted something and think you will have plenty of time coming in last minute, just know you don't even if you know exactly...
Read moreWhat a fun place! This market is filled with booths each containing lots of stuff by different owners. The booths are numbered and each item's price tag has that same number on as well as the price. (Occasionally a price wasn't marked... I'm guessing you have to take it up to the register and ask about it, if you're interested in it.) You'll find antiques, furniture, clothing, books, decor, signs, old tools, seasonal stuff, odds& ends of every kind! Some booths had stuff for less than a dollar, and others were marked pricier. It all depends on the owner and/or quality of the stuff. Definitely a worthwhile stop if you like this...
