Waterbury True Value — Local services in Waterbury

I searched the web for local places that recycled batteries and this True Value was listed. But when I entered, I received a very apathetic attitude when I asked if they indeed offered battery recycle services and where I should place my used batteries. The guy behind the counter didn't even say anything - just a pointed finger at a stand they had. I brushed this off, because maybe he had something on his mind or whatever. But then I returned a month later with more batteries and the stand was gone, so I asked where to place my used batteries. I received the same apathetic, almost rude, response, this time another guy simply thumbed over his shoulder and looked away without saying anything. I looked and didn't see anything obvious but walked in that direction not seeing anything obvious. It was luck that I ran into another worker who gave better direction and pointed me back to the new recycling location that I passed on the way. These guys kick butt. I have rented from their rental department before, but this past weekend I was coming back from Albany VT with their cement mixer and boom Auger. Both pieces of equipment worked great, were cheaper from them than any other company in the area, and they helped me load the stuff onto my trailer when I picked them up. Rented 2 heaters for my son’s wedding over a week in advance. I was told that they were brand new and they would have them assembled and ready for pick up the day before the event. I arrived the after noon on the agreed upon day and was told “oh I don’t think the guy got to it? Let me call him.
