I'd never been to a race in my life, wasn't a huge racing fan. Wasn't really a fan at all. Like how many times can you watch cars go around an oval? But my boyfriend is a HUGE racing fan, so he took me to the Speedbowl because he frequents it. Turns out, I do enjoy it, it's so much more than cars going around an oval. I'm not a huge fan like him, but I join him most weeks and have a good time. The people are great, the events are entertaining. I prefer Wacky Wednesdays because they're wacky, and the big wheel races in between the main events are adorable. The facility is dated. The bleachers are old. The whole place needs some updating. But you're not going there for a Fenway Park experience, you're going there because you love the sport, you love the people, you love the cars, and that can be felt there. The food and drinks are no better or worse than any other sporting event. I did buy some reusable earplugs and bleacher seats on Amazon, because cars are loud and bleachers are hard if you're there all day. It's good entertainment, it's family friendly, it's fun, and it's affordable. I'd definitely recommend it, even for people who've never dipped their toes into the...

As a long time resident (and new customer), I feel the need to write a review of the speedbowl. This track, for many months has served as a fun, safe and clean atmosphere for some Saturday night fun for myself and friends. Nothing beats a fun night at the racetrack, surrounded by howeling fans, as cars battle it out for first place. When I learned about the recent new ownership, I see hope for the speedbowls future. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. I would much rather spend money here to support the future development of the track then spend money at six flags or the movies. Countless times, you can even see the same fans in the audience, as these are repeat customers, who are near and dear to the speedbowl. God knows we all want to see another season at the Speecbowl!...

Quite a few improvements made. Gone are the rickety red bleachers and concession stands. The entire track area has been repaved cleaned and new concession are planned. For now they're using food trucks which serves the purpose however next year there are plans for a permanent concession area The old red bleachers are gone, replaced with new aluminum bleachers and they look great Some of the employees seemed somewhat humbled by the past but ready to move foward to bigger and better things and a brand new experience at the track. It's nice to see them back in business and their appreciation of fans that have chosen too return. One heads-up, at the time, entrance is cash-only and there isn't an ATM onsite, however the onsite food trucks do accept both cash and cards....

My first time back at the Bowl in several years and it happened to be Nostalgia Night. The new face-lift took a little getting used to. Part of me missed the walk under the old wooden grandstand to the edge of the front straightaway, but like they say, you can't grow without change and after watching the show in new upgraded seating I became grateful that this historic facility is still in operation. Waterford has always been the perfect size oval for two groove short track racing and on Nostalgia Night with the Coupes, Pintos and Vegas on the track it brought back great memories of all the wonderful times I'd enjoyed here as a kid. If like me, you haven't attended in a while, be sure to stop by and support this historic gem and create some memories for your family.

If you like aggressive racing this would be the place for you. The enduro racing is just an example of aggressive racing. There are no rules and anything goes. In my opinion that type of racing is very dangerous. Grant you, you have some drivers with common sense but it's the drivers that don't care and are out there just to hurt people. Then you also have your regulars who absolutely do not like newbies. So they tag team the new guy and spin them out or crash them in to the wall. Sometimes a little rules go a long way. Me personally would never race at this speedway ever to dangerous for me. I understand Enduro racing and that's how it's done but some rules could be good.

What a great small track. Good people all around. Food trucks with plenty of options to choose from. Best part is you don't have to just sit in the stands, you can literally stand in turn 1 and watch the races. I was able to make some time and get here and the turnout for cares was awesome. If you frequent local tracks you know that getting cares on the track can be scarce sometimes.
