I started out with Masters for my central air installation. The technician came out and provided me with an estimate, which I accepted. I then waited a couple of days for the installation.
On the day of the installation, the technician arrived while talking on his phone, often complaining about the job. They informed me that I needed to replace the floor under my furnace and that they would not handle that. I was told I had to hire a professional to replace my floor, which was only about 13 by 13 square feet. Additionally, they said he needed another person to accompany him because he was not willing to go into my crawl space. To make matters worse, they also quoted me an additional $1,000 over the original estimate I had agreed to.
Feeling frustrated, I immediately called Gibbons. Dana came out the same day to give me a quote. He took the time to explain everything to me and understood my concerns. He confirmed that the floor did need to be replaced, but assured me it wasn’t a significant issue and that the central air could still be installed without problems.
A couple of days later, the technicians arrived. One technician fixed my floor at no extra cost, while the other installed the central air. They came around 9 AM and didn't leave until almost 9 PM. Although they took a short lunch break, they worked hard the entire time they were there. I was extremely impressed with their dedication and the quality of their work.

Not only did they save us thousands by telling us it was a repairable issue, they are the only company who looked into the issue enough to find out our situation was dangerous. We called Gibson because our heat stopped responding to the thermostat and wouldn’t shut off no matter how hot it got or even if you turned the heat off from the thermostat. We had to turn it on and off at the breaker. Each time we turned it back on there would be a burnt smell. We made many calls to have people come look at it and had multiple people come and tell us we needed a new unit. Some of these people never even went up to the attic to look at our unit. One, who charged $150 for an emergency visit, went up and said they couldn’t get to the unit and recommended we relocate it and ultimately get a new one. No one told us to stop using our heat. The technician from Gibson was able to tell us in minutes after looking at the unit what the problem was. And it was dangerous. Our board and the wires running up to it were burnt. He showed us a picture and they looked completely charred. It was terrifying, but repairable he said. They ordered the part that day and told us we had to stop using our heat. The part came in faster than anticipated and they wasted no time coming to fix it at a completely reasonable price. As a member we were able to get discounts and special pricing as well as continued servicing throughout the lifetime of our equipment. We were extremely impressed and satisfied with the whole experience from the first phone call and servicing in June, to the recent assessment of our HVAC, to the salesman with 40 years plus experience in the business, to the actual installation & the install techs.
