T.J. & Nicole run a top notch business with excellent customer service and product. My husband and I had almost given up trying to find a furniture store who would listen to us and care about our business. Until a friend of ours suggested McGowan’s Furniture. One of the last family run furniture stores in the area. After going to Furniture Row in Waterloo and being vastly disappointed in their services and unhappy with their lack of communication; it was a totally difference experience with McGowan’s Furniture. We bought a king-size adjustable bed and a loveseat. They spent a lot of time with us, including Kelly on picking out the bed. We had never spent that much before on furniture as we are very careful with our money. They understood what we needed. They communicated with us every step of the way. The men who delivered were very dedicated to doing their job in handling the furniture carefully to make sure it was placed where we needed it and understood the controls on the bed. That is hard work. You need to go to McGowan’s Furniture for all your furniture needs. You will not be disappointed. We plan on making all our future purchases there. The staff was wonderful and helpful, but the selection not so much, but they were great about cancelling the Catnapper remote. They measured the chair seats for us, but getting two different measurements for the same chair needs work. We paid twice as much for the new chairs than our old chairs, and I'm still looking forward to getting my old chair back from being refurbished by a refurbisher that I found. A chair that we purchased 3.5 years ago from McGowan's. Where did all the big plush chairs go? My new chair doesn't fit our cat, his blanket, and me at the same time. Have had major issues with communication regarding trying to order a matching ottoman for our couch. Covid slowed orders way down which is understandable but once it was finally ordered and came in it turned out to be the wrong one and they couldnt get the matching one. Couch also broke in the back. Let them know and they said they'd check the warranty or have someone come take a look at it and get back to us. Haven't heard back after several months of waiting.
