My relationship with Mies Outland started in February of 2016 when I bought my first new motorcycle from them. At the time it was the best experience I have had from buying the motorcycle to all the work that the service department did to the bike as well. I started to buy other items from Mies and always talked to my same guy and was completely happy with everything. 3 years to the day I called and wanted a new motorcycle, only to find that my guy had moved on to bigger and better things. No big deal, I asked to speak with a salesperson, and I was completely disappointed! I felt like my business was unimportant/unwanted. (In my opinion) I think I felt this way because I always had the red carpet laid out for me no matter what If I was buying a new motorcycle, lawn mower, trailer, or just a few quarts of oil. So, I moved down the list and bought a bike from another dealership. Now 2 years later I am in the market again, and my first call was Mies. I talked to a guy, and I really connected with him, so drove right to the dealership. I told him what bike I wanted and agreed to buy the bike, did the credit app, and got a loan. I am told that "My Bike" will be at the dealership in a few days on the next delivery and I will be able to pick it up by the weekend. Middle of the week comes around and I get a call saying that they did not get the bike they thought was coming and they could locate the bike that I want and get it for me. At this point I am starting to lose faith, but I agree and give them 3 days to find the bike. I called back on a Saturday and did not hear back from the sales guy until that following Tuesday, only for him to tell me that they cannot find me the bike that I want and that I would have to order one. My answer was sure fine, lets do that, why didn’t we just order one to begin with? This all happens on Tuesday and by Friday I call and ask if my bike has been ordered and when I should expect to see it. I am told that he cannot order the bike that I want. On February 10th he said that he would get back to me after he talks to his manager. I have yet to hear back from that kid. After I waited a week to hear back, I bought the exact bike I wanted at another dealership in the Metro.
At this point you might wonder why I left a 5-star review? Here is the reason. I brought my brand-new bike home with zero miles on it and no time on the motor. Bike was started just long enough to get it on my trailer to take home. As it is sitting in my garage and I am adding some (OEM) accessories, the operation of the certain functions on the bike seems to not be working properly. Instantly my first thought is call Mies! I call and talk with Marc the Service Manager, and he remembers me from 5 years ago!!!!! After some catching up, he tells me “Bring it down, we’d love to take a look at it!” a few days later I drop the bike off, and they figure out 50% of the issues and must reach out to Indian Tech for the remaining issues. This whole time Marc is texting me and giving me updates. A few days later all the issues with the bike have been taken care of due to a faulty part from the factory, all covered under warranty. Marc does and has always treated me like the most important customer the dealership has ever worked with. Customer Service is a two-way street! I do not walk in the dealer and demand service, and I do not blame the service department for shortcomings in an item that they sell and service. My 5-Star review is based on no matter how horrible my sales experience was I give the service department all the credit in the world. With all my interactions with the Mies Outland service Department, they have been nothing but...
Read moreAfter looking at all the reviews my wife and I had decided to purchase a Ryker bike from Mies Outland in which we purchased on 3-23-22. Posted on the sale was described as having a windshield in which when we asked about it, the Sale Rep. Charles stated: "Let me talk to my Manager", They had both stated "windshield was a Typo but if you want a windshield you can purchase one." Clearly this is false advertisement. I am though appreciated to Dan who showed us what features the bike had and all its controls as our Sales Rep didn't even know what he was selling. He answered our questions and took the time to really appreciate the customer. So with that said " I wish you had been the Sales Rep, Sales Manager and Receptionist as they would need more training in these departments". After picking up the bike and driving home for 2 hours we decided to verify if we had all the paperwork that Charles stated he had given to us (21 day permit). We had called Charles that evening, to not my own surprise, Charles stated: "Let me talk to my Manager". After 10-15 minutes hearing me on the phone that I would be stopped by every state patrol for not having the temporary registration they came in to the conclusion that they had failed to give us the temporary registration and stated they would overnight it by Tuesday 3-29-22. Friday 4-1-22 came and I decided to call Mies Outland about the registration again since we have a bike unable to drive with no registration. At 11:07 I called the Receptionist and asked to speak to the Sales Manager Mat. The Receptionist stated Mat was with a customer and took my name and number and stated that Mat would call me back. 2:51 I called Mies again asking to speak to Mat when she transferred me to a Sales Rep. It was only after I had explained and requested information of the temporary registration when I was told " I'm not the Sales Manger" " Let me get you my Manager" When dealing with Mies personnel you will have to have lots and lots of patience as it will seem that you are worthless after your purchase. When asked about the registration? I have yet...
Read moreCan't say enough good things about Mies Outland. I had gotten into a pretty nasty situation with my previous dealer who had damaged my machine multiple times and had become incredible rude. I ended up having to involve Corporate. They advised me to bring the machine in to another dealer and have the damage assessed. Mies Outland came highly recommended, but I was still a bit skeptical. However from the first time I contacted them, they were incredibly friendly and offered to step in and help correct the situation. Which spoke volumes to me. Their willingness to step into someone else's mess, with an already disgruntled customer they didn't know, just because they wanted to help make things right. When I dropped the machine off I could already tell this was an entirely different experience. Their location is gorgeous, all machines are stored indoors before, during and after service. (previous dealer left all customer machines outside) The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and it was just a very relaxed environment which really just made it feel welcoming. These guys were great about providing updates via email as to where we were with everything. They worked very fast, the machine was in and out in about 1 week! They replaced all the damaged parts and even buffed out some scratches caused by the previous dealer, they even went the extra mile and buffed out a few scratches on a completely different area of the machine that were caused by me. They really went above and beyond to make sure the machine looked like new. I really couldn't be happier with the outcome. They have made a lifetime customer,...
