Roman Nose State Park Stables — Local services in Watonga

So I just had to leave a shining review for this place. My husband and I went riding today, and had the best time. I've been to many different riding stables, and this one is one of the best I've come across. The first thing you notice is the horses. You can tell when horses are happy, content. The horses were happy, playful with each other and the workers. They immediately came to the fence for attention from us. Other places you can tell when the horses are just miserable. We mounted up and went on our ride, and had a great time. The saddles were very comfortable too, after an hour with quite a bit of trotting throughout, I wasnt even sore. I've had rides where it was uncomfortable the whole time and after too. The horses seemed comfortable as well which is wonderful. Jennifer's horse (jasper I think?) Followed us throughout the ride and kept us company. It was really cool. The horses are not overworked and just seemed really content. Special thanks to our guide Ashley, and our guide who followed us whose name I can't remember (so sorry!) He was a nice guy too! Jennifer I spoke to on the phone and she was wonderful as well. They should be very proud of their business because they are awesome. I will 100% reccomend this place to anyone who wants a great time riding some...

I had a family member here for a weekend and we were looking for a slightly more advanced trail so I messaged these stables two weeks in advance to ask on Facebook to which they said yes and said they would message me back in the morning. I got nothing the next day so I called. I spoke to a woman who said she would make it happen and would ask her son if he could take us out privately. I thought that was perfect and I was so excited anxiously awaiting a call back. Mind you, I told her I wasn’t expecting to gallop the whole time or anything, just something a little more exciting than a walk the WHOLE time. That day and the next I heard nothing so I called and she still said that she would talk to her son— I made sure she had the correct number written down. Next day... nothing. And now I’m writing this on the day that we were supposed to go and we never heard anything else and are so disappointed. My family member leaves tomorrow and for years, trail rides have been our thing. Isn’t the business supposed to pursue...

Bright my girl scouts here for horseback riding. We had a lovely time. The guides are knowledgeable and kind, especially with newbies. And the horses are great. I'm glad that they take in rescues and rehabs from other places and give them love and attention, that makes my horse-loving...
