If youāre a fan of exceptional meats, locally made sausages, and the kind of small-town charm that keeps you coming back year after year, look no further than Corralitos Market & Sausage Co. This local treasure has been a staple in the community for years, and for good reasonāitās an absolute haven for food lovers.
The house-made sausages are simply unmatched. While the Cheesy Bavarian Sausage is a crowd favorite for good reason, my personal go-to choices are the Zesty Apricot and Pineapple Sausages. Their unique flavor combinations are bold, bright, and absolutely unforgettable. Whether youāre grilling at home or need something special for a barbecue, these sausages deliver every single time.
What makes Corralitos Market even better is their āhot dog sandwiches.ā Imagine a perfectly grilled sausage tucked into a soft French roll, ready to be topped with all your favorite fixings. Itās not just a hot dogāitās an experience, and quite possibly the best one youāll find on the West Coast.
Hunters, take note: Corralitos Market offers a service thatās hard to come by. You can bring in your deboned venison or boar meat, and theyāll turn it into top-tier sausage. However, be sure to bring the appropriate animal tag along with your meatāthis is required before they can process it for you. Itās a unique offering that speaks to their dedication and skill, and itās one of the many reasons Iāve been a loyal customer for years.
Corralitos Market & Sausage Co. isnāt just a businessāitās a beloved piece of the community. With consistently fantastic service and unbeatable products, itās the kind of place you just canāt help but rave about. Trust me, once you try it,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreItās been ten years, but if Iām honest with myself, not a month goes by where I donāt think about my Corralitos experience. In 2014 my wife and I did a road trip from San Francisco to Austin, Texas. A few nights in we stopped off to surf in Capitola. Once we were done, we were asking about a good place to get some meat for a barbecue. They made a suggestion that would change my life forever. Once weād followed the directions they gave to Corralitos we arrived at the unassuming butchers. We bought a selection of fantastic sausages and the a bag of barbecued ātri-tipsā being from the UK, weād never heard of these and boy were we in for a treat! Over the course of the next couple of days we chomped through this fine selection of meats and still to this day Iāve never eaten a ābeef based productā as delicious as freshly barbecues Tri-tips from Corralitos - Itās taken me too long to write this review, but alas a decade...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe third and last stop after Pezzini Farms in Castroville for Artichokes, and Gizdich Ranch for unfiltered Apple Juice and fresh tree-ripened apples. Corralitos Market and Sausage Company is locally well known for their sausages, especially the cheesy Bavarian. Thereās nothing much around the market except pretty scenery. The market itself is small, and besides the sausage and meat counter in the back, very small. They carry numerous gourmet items and difficult to find foods. The sausage I got there was good in the spaghetti sauce in our dinner, as were the steamed artichokes from Pezzini Farms, and glasses of cold unfiltered Apple juice from Gizdich Ranch. A superb dinner, a great trip, and totally worth it! If you are interested in making a day trip like we do, assembling dinner from local foods around the greater Bay Area, make sure to plan a trip to...
