Well-kept park. I think it is more of a local gem visited by the locals than by tourists. Nice showers and clean toilets. Staff were strangely friendly and helpful. The rain doubled the beauty of the park, in my opinion.

Take a more direct way is my suggestion. I drove over summit road and it was a rough drive road definitely not kept up. But mt Madonna was beautiful. Worth the trip.

Beautiful trails, lots of fresh air and wildlife to experience. The drive up there is filled with great views, however I’ve been there twice and have had my car broken into twice! (Nothing was left in plain site, windows we’re tinted in my newer car) This experience sadly left a bad taste in my mouth seeing as how they took nothing but managed to cause damage to my car that cost me a pretty penny to fix. Will probably never return due to the paranoia, but I do miss those...
