Was there earlier today 2/2/25 and had a great employee check us out at a register. Purchases 2 large bags of feed and 1 small item. The young man at check out scanned the item and put it in a bag and left the large items in the cart.
During checkout a female supervisor/manager standing with 3 other employees at customer service yelled extremely loud from customer service clear over to the furthest most register for a cashier to get off their phone. We were taken back at the lack of professionalism and display of public shaming enough that I asked the person at our register if that was normal behavior from her and was told yes and “she’ll bust you and make sure everyone knows about it”. To lighten the uncomfortable mood I mentioned something about the free popcorn by the entry for the “show” that was on display.
We clearly forgot to grab or be handed the bag due to the uncomfortable and unprofessional display. After getting home and realizing the item was left at the register, I called to inquire about the item we paid for and did not receive. When asked what register number I was at, I stated I did not know the exact number but it was around the start of customer service dest/doors directly across from customer service. I was told “all of our registers are across from customer service and self checkout is what’s directly across”. In an extremely condescending tone.
Apparently the item never made it to customer service. When inquiring if there was any type of resolution to retrieve the item we paid for and did not receive I was interrupted with no and hung up on while still talking. One can only assume this was the same woman we witnessed yelling across the store at employees in front of customers.
This review isn’t about the forgotten $5-6 item. It’s about how to not treat employees or customers.
Note to self if there’s a next time, make sure to note the register number and verify the employee has handed us all items.
Also grab some popcorn for the employee public...
Read moreWent here for the first time Sunday to check out their garden section. They had 25% off certain plants, most of which were half dead. I found a rose bush that looked salvageable and when I inquired about additional money off due to the condition the gal had to ask Austin Wolf the manager via walkie talkie. I could hear his responses as the gal stood in front of me. After he rudely asked her to repeat herself he then just responded "just throw it away". So Austin, who apparently sits behind a desk in the air conditioned store can't make an appearance and would rather throw away merchandise than to make any money from it... very intelligent. The gals were very personable and apologized for their managers disrespectfulness. As I was paying I noticed how hot and humid it was in the little shelter outside where the register is. I would highly recommend adding a window A/C unit and some fans! The garden manager gets to sit in the cool air why can't the rest of the employees have some relief as well?
I did go inside and check out the store itself, does anyone even work there? I saw one person with a vest pushing merchandise to the back otherwise all I saw were two cashiers. The amount of items that were completely out of stock was very surprising. Seeing alcohol was a bit of a surprise and the prices on pretty much everything seemed really expensive. I ended up leaving and getting what I needed at a fraction of the price on Amazon. I won't be back. It's too bad I was really hoping for better, especially with a...
Read moreWONT BE GOING BACK TO THIS STORE I had an outside order. My receipt said OUTSIDE ORDER. I had 16 bags of grain. I drove out back to pick it up. Waited 5 minutes for someone to let us behind the store by the gate. I had drive back to the front of the store to ask if anyone is working out back to run the gate. She called the boy and he said he’s been there all day… I drove back to the gate the boy had red glossy eyes and couldn’t figure out what to do with my receipt. He finally got another employee involved and the store manager. They all sat there discussing my receipt while I sat in the car waiting. I finally came out asked what the problem was and said I needed to leave soon. The manager said oh yeah it’s been 15 minutes. Goes and grabs half my order. The other employee decided to come up to my window and argue with me that (grain isn’t usually picked up in the back) I’ve owned horses all my life and have never been told that 16 bags of grain Fleet Farm wants me to push from the back of the store to the front then to my truck!!!!!! —UNBELIEVABLE I told the man I had a bad back & that it’s an outside order after arguing with him. He finally grabbed the rest of my order. -GOING TO BOMGAARS SAME PRODUCTS BETTER...
