Got to love a excellent sport in an excellent venue. One of the absolute finest curling facilities in the United States, the Wausau Curling Center is host to many local and national level events along with regular league season play on most nights of the week. The season runs from November til the end of April, and in between there are many opportunities for veterans and new curlers alike to get in on one of the oldest sports out there! Wausau hosts a number of Learn2Curls (new curler instruction clinics) were there is often no cost to the curlers to try their hand at curling , unless you count paying attention of course. Throughout the year, some weekends see the center come to life in large tournaments known in the sport as Bonspiels. The facility itself is really nice. But the ice isn't great. Runs very straight and rocks fall if they're anywhere near the four foot which makes for a very disappointing game. But the bar and people are very nice and there is a great viewing area for guests...
