Ladore Retreat & Conference Center — Local services in Waymart

This is my first ever review on any place I’ve been to, Me being a Christian - being a part of my community with the church I’m in.(WestChester Church Of Christ White Plains), This place is top notch. This retreat truly brings you closer to God. It has lifted my spirit and I feel I have been renewed.

The lobby is a good amount of space and length when you walk in, it’s very spacious and quaint very quiet, soft and comfy chairs, fireplace works very well and you get a lot of warmth. Also, when you enter, there is a staircase that leads upstairs to the second floor, where your rooms are, but there is also a game room where you can play pool and ping-pong. There are conference rooms on both the first and second floor. Where not only you can hang out and just relax, but also play board games and converse.

The cafeteria looks like a restaurant like if you were in an outdoor cabin. It’s very well organized, and there is another room next to it where there are vending machine machines I’m not sure if they were working though, but they are there just in case. There are other rooms that I have not explored yet, but I know that multiple churches can come here at once.

There was also a hot tub we had spa bubbles and the water was actually really hot like a sauna, but it was genuinely nice and right next to it was a pool. It wasn’t too big like a public pool but genuinely you had enough space to swim. The environment, and weather Was well balanced. Must I say the crew that works there, They are all very nice and I have not felt one frown come upon my face when talking with them, their energy is upright and they all look happy when they work there.

The Chapel is well-built very spacious and the devotional classes I had were great and I’m pretty sure the Lord will talk to you all in many different ways that we need to hear his message.

Lastly, the bedrooms are very comfortable, and well kept, certain mattresses have different feelings I will say, but the one I had, when you lay down you sink right in some other bedrooms may have had stiff mattresses, and some were bouncy. Hello all. Recently visited Ladore Lodge all I can say is WOW! Everything was great. The food(Fantastic), lodging accommodations, activities, everything was great and also accessible for those with mobility challenges. The staff is friendly , approachable and I would like to give a shout-out to Paul and Esther. I learned at Vespers that there is a new color, sky-blue-pink. Thank You Major. I found it when I got home. I was able to take advantage of the quiet time and meditate on the goodness if The Lord and all of His wonderful creation. How could you visit Ladore and not experience the wonders of His works? It is visible in the lake, the surrounding mountains and most definitely in the staff. But most importantly, I learned more about the history of the SACorps. We all are responsible to see that everyone has an opportunity to hear the message of salvation or experience the forgiveness of God. The best message to me came from the turbines up on the mountain. They reminded me of crosses. For each cross, a sinner is forgiven. I claim a cross on that mountain because one of those sinners was me. Beautiful place for Woman’s Christian Retreat. Nice and Serene feeling GODs presence. The food was great and the dining staff was amazing especially Liz the kitchen manager making special dietary accommodations for visitors. Max the houseman was very helpful getting me into my room when I left my key in my room after desk hours. The gift shop has some very nice items that are affordablely priced. The conference rooms are well equipped and the sound systems are nice. The pool and hot tub was a nice touch however it had lots of bugs inside both and the hot tub was not on(I’m sure if that issue wasn’t there it would have been a nice...
