The lady at the link office was really kind! Let’s start with the good! That’s the only pleasant experience during my delivery here. I was told brown dock door 238. I pulled off to the side and went inside. I saw the office door open so I approached. I said good morning to the man sitting inside and said I had a delivery. He said “let me guess a straight truck”, I replied “yes indeed.” He then proceeded to say he didn’t have room for the parts and that “these should have been delivered in a 53’”. I replied, “well they asked for a straight truck, that’s why I am here”. He replied “I doubt that highly”. He was rude, spoke rudely to me and made no attempt to help me. Finally after juggling papers around he threw his arms in the air and said “ I have no idea what your bringing or why you are here” I said “ well this is what the paper work told me to do”. He said “well, I have no room for you, just go back to your truck and when I get confirmation you are suppose to be here I will come get you”.
3.5 hours later……. I’m still sitting. I have gone in a few times to find that office door shut and locked. So back to the truck I went. Been yelled at by switchers then entire time to move bc I’m “in the way”. Which I wasn’t. I was as close to the fence by the tracks as I could be.
Finally, I went back inside and found another person on a high low and told him I had been sitting for more than 3 hours to unload…he walked with me to the truck and said “these could have been off hours ago, I’m sorry”
Had me unloaded in 15 minutes!
I hate coming here! I’m not sure why everyone is so mad all the time! And why the wait times to unload are so...
