Westwick Square Co-Op — Local services in Wayne

Been here 7 years. Pay rent on time and one time I thought I wrote a check and mailed it in. Unfortunately the management company does not contact you (phone or letter). You only know when an attorney contacts you. They never give ledgers and refuse to take rent at the on-site office. Mail or automatic withdrawal are your only options. This past September their attorney claimed to mail me documents telling me I'm late in which I never received. They also only have to hand write that they sent it ( not certified). As soon as I became aware via a court date for eviction I immediately sent the amount. They then charged 150 for filing costs (which seems high and I will be checking into that fee). I asked the board to forgive it and it took 6 weeks for them to decide to decline me.

Also when you move out they take 6 plus months to change it over (paint, clean, repairs) and charge the tenant who left pay rent. I've worked in apartment housing and it should never take more than a month for what they do. Westwick will try to get as much money as they can from you by any shady...

It's a very nice place to be. Especially knowing how much my friend pays for rent every month. It's ridiculously inexpensive. It's like having a rent controlled apartment. I was wondering how this is possible so I learned that this establishment is actually a co-op. Is my understanding that a co-op such as this is filled with in this particular case low income folks who initially buy their quote unquote condo and then pay a monthly fee of like $450 every month until the moment they decides you pass their condo onto somebody else who qualifies (as I presume). Such as a child... Or another family member. I know is there is not one unit available for rent or purchase for the people who currently live there are paying 1/3 of what I am and making more effing jobs than I am. How do I get in on some section 8, HUD housing or this particular type of...
