A Truly Unforgettable Experience at Glass House Studios! Our recent visit to Glass House Studios in Afton, Virginia, was an absolute highlight of our trip, and we can't recommend it enough! From start to finish, the experience was incredible. Minh, our glassblowing instructor, was simply amazing. He effortlessly guided us through the entire glass-flowing process, patiently teaching us everything we needed to know. His kindness and chill energy made the class so enjoyable and approachable, even for complete beginners. We were blown away by his expertise and his ability to make such a complex art form feel so accessible. The studio space itself is absolutely beautiful. Stepping inside, we were immediately captivated by the stunning artwork on display. It's truly worth a visit just to admire the incredible talent showcased and available for purchase there, from delicate hand-knit shawls to ornate blown glass pieces and other unique works by local artists. The variety and quality of the art were astounding. And the views! The scenery from the studio is breathtaking. While we weren't able to join any yoga classes this time, we got a peek at the dedicated yoga space, which boasts an equally incredible view. We're already planning our next visit, not only to take another glassblowing class with Minh but also to experience their yoga offerings. This entire experience made our trip so much fun and created memories we'll cherish forever. As a wonderful bonus, we now have two beautiful drinking glasses that we use daily, serving as a constant reminder of our remarkable time at Glass House Studios. I'm an interior designer who has been following Minh's work for many years, and commissioned many phenomenal pieces for my clients. I personally own stemware service for 24 which is so gorgeous we use the goblets daily. His vases are the focal point of our mantel and many friends have ordered their own at first sight. I am always enamoured with how he seamlessly marries form and function to create such beautiful and useful pieces. One of my favourite artisans of all time, and I cannot wait to celebrate the opening of Glass Hollow and see how he creates it all behind the scenes. I am very bad at yoga but I am excited to take one of Anna's classes during our visit (I've heard she will go easy on me if asked) - and the view from the studio is INCREDIBLE. Our group of friends really enjoyed our experience with Seth and Emily at Glass Hollow Studios the last week of October 2025.

We each made a pumpkin. I've read a couple of reviews that didn't seem happy with the size. I'm here to let you know they are a nice size and surprisingly heavy. Mine is 14 inches in circumference and 6.5 inches in height.

This experience was well worth the $60 fee. Not only are we able to support local artists and explore the Afton, VA area, we made a unique keepsake that we each will treasure for years to come.
