I strongly advise anyone considering WTIto think twice before enrolling. My experience here has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating due to a series of shady practices and systemic issues within the institution.
Firstly, the financial aid process at this school is highly suspect. They only offer federal and private loans, with virtually no grants available. This practice seems designed to saddle students with debt rather than provide them with genuine financial support. Additionally, they pressure students into signing up for high-dollar payment plans, which adds to the financial strain.
The IT program, in particular, is a nightmare. The professor in charge does little to no actual instruction. Instead of teaching, this professor wastes most of the class time engaging in inappropriate and irrelevant conversations with students. As a result, students are forced to teach themselves, which is unacceptable considering the high tuition fees.
The administration is unresponsive to feedback. Despite numerous complaints from students about the lack of instruction and the unprofessional behavior of the professor, nothing changes. This shows a blatant disregard for student concerns and highlights the school's unwillingness to improve its educational standards.
Furthermore, the school itself is underwhelming and outdated. The facilities are far from modern, and the resources provided are laughably out of date. The library, for instance, contains books that are decades old and no longer relevant to current learning. This severely hampers students' ability to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in their field.
Save yourself the trouble and look for a more reputable institution that truly values...
Read moreIt was a big decision for me to change careers in my late 40s. And I knew that spending 4 years trudging through basic requirements at a traditional college was out of the question. WTI put me right into the "Hands on" approach with their IT Administration program. I learned more in just the first 12 weeks than I had learned on my own in 18 years. They tell you from the start that if you apply yourself, tend to the "10,000 hours" rule, and give it your best effort, then you will walk away with the knowledge to start on a new career path. They are right. You get out of it what you put in it. I was not the quickest student, but I was consistant. I graduated with a technical degree in IT Administration and Computer Programming. It took 6 months to land a job in the field of study, but I did it. And now, every day is a new and exciting learning adventure. The staff at WTI helped guide me through every step. They kept me informed on my financial status so I only had to concentrate on studies, my IT instructors went above and beyond to help me understand the things I struggled with, and there was always a friendly smile behind the front desk each morning as I walked in. It was a great adventure for me, and the staff made was part of why it was so. I am living proof that you are never too old to start over. And WTI was a good...
Read moreI had a wonderful experience here at WTI. Though I was worried that maybe I hadn't retained all that I needed to, there was always someone there who was willing to help me when I felt that I needed a little bit extra attention. In the Pharmacy Tech Program, there is a lot of "Building Up"! There is not a lot of times where I felt that I wasn't able to achieve my goals because I always had someone willing to be there for me and build me up, wheather it was MY ACTUAL Instructor, a past Instructor, or even just someone else that was in my class...They ALWAYS believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself! I couldn't say enough words to say how grateful I am at this point! Yes, there were problem times, and times that I didn't think I wanted to be here, times that I felt let down, and times that I felt that I didn't belong here...BUT...with all of that said, I JUST PASSED MY CERTIFICATION EXAM, and Never did any of the staff here doubt that I could do it! I am eternally Thankful...(The new Pharm Instructor is an absolute charm, Kelly, Thank you for ALL you did, the time you put in believing in me, and extra words of Confidence you consistantly gave my way! To the last Pharm Instructor, You told me Isa that you believed I could do it...Look at me now...I did...
