If there was a negative star option available to choose that wouldn’t even be low enough of a grade for this place. Parents be warned about the man running this place because I’ll tell you what, he doesn’t give a damn about your kids. The number listed to call him works, however don’t ever count on actually ever speaking to the man as he prefers texts, which in hindsight ended up being a blessing for proof of how unbelievably ignorant, unprofessional, and tyrannical this man actually is. I have 2 boys and my oldest lives with his father and the other with me. We are co parents that wanted to get our boys in a sport together. My oldest sons father reached out to the owner about getting our boys in for a lesson and explained to nick (guy running the place ) that we were separated and wanted to figure out a plan to work around everyone’s schedules because he also works 3rd shift so later in the evenings don’t work for him. Nick was aware of all of this and moved forward to set up lesson for my kids. Which was great until it wasn’t. Nick pitched to us 2 days this week to come in for 1.5 hr lessons with a coach to see if my boys even like it and want to join free of charge! Only options available even offered by this company are later evening times. Still we wanted to give it a shot and worked it out. The first lesson was Tuesday night and it was with a kid coach that my boys loved. He did great. Tonight was another story. Nick texts the schedule available for our boys if we decided to join after the lesson which not only was at several locations other than the only location we could commute to, they were only evening options! Which was explained to nick several times we couldn’t accommodate that. We asked several times for an actual phone call that never took place. He then tells us tonight that if we couldn’t get to practices that we had to pay for the lessons my kids had this week because he was only giving them free of charge to be a “nice” person and it was a huge inconvenience on him to get us those lessons. To which I was upset and couldn’t believe how dismissive he was and after my retort to his guilt message he not only cussed me out he threw my kids out of his program in the middle of there lesson saying that wrestling wasn’t for them and he didn’t want me in his establishment. I even asked him if I could just pay his coach for the lesson so my boys could finish it out considering we were in the middle of it and it wasn’t my kids fault he had bad communication issues. He didn’t care. He degraded us for having jobs that didn’t work with his schedule. There was nothing accommodating about this company no customer service no communication other than his way and if u don’t like it screw us and screw the kids. He hurt my kids, he degraded us, tried to guilt us and make us the bad guys, tried to extort money after he didn’t like me calling him out on his communication issues regarding a workable time schedule. Trust me this man is a snake, a coward and does not care even a single bit about your kids. Literally go anywhere else but here.

The Greatness of Purler Wrestling Camp: A True Wrestler’s Paradise

Purler Wrestling Camp isn’t just a summer training opportunity—it’s a full-on experience that pushes you to your limits, sharpens your skills, and molds you into a better wrestler and a tougher person. From the moment you arrive, it’s clear this camp was built by wrestlers, for wrestlers. Everything—from the food to the mats to the top-tier coaching—has one goal in mind: helping you become the best version of yourself on and off the mat.

World-Class Wrestling Mats

One of the first things you notice when you step into the Purler facilities is the sheer size and quality of the wrestling space. The mats are practically wall-to-wall, soft on the knees but firm enough to absorb and return every bit of intensity during practice. There’s no bumping into the edges or waiting your turn for space—you always have a spot to drill, wrestle live, or work one-on-one with a partner. Whether it’s technique sessions or intense conditioning circuits, the mat space allows everyone to go full throttle. And with the structure of the practices, it’s easy to see why so many state champs, national placers, and future college wrestlers walk out of this camp with a whole new level of toughness.

Skilled, Dedicated Coaches

What really sets Purler apart from every other wrestling camp out there is the quality of the coaching staff. These aren’t just guys who wrestled a bit in high school and decided to give coaching a try—these are lifelong students of the sport. Many are former collegiate wrestlers or high-level competitors themselves, and they break down techniques in a way that’s simple, repeatable, and battle-tested. The Purler system teaches you how to chain wrestle, defend with purpose, and score points intelligently. They don’t just show you moves and walk away—they correct your form, work with you individually, and genuinely want to see you succeed. The difference in attention and coaching detail is huge compared to most local clubs or other summer camps.

The Food—Yes, It’s Actually Good

Most people wouldn’t expect the food at a wrestling camp to be anything special—maybe some soggy chicken nuggets or overcooked spaghetti. But at Purler, the meals are a big surprise in the best way possible. You eat like an athlete here. The food is filling, nutritious, and actually good. Whether it’s pasta to fuel you up before an evening practice or grilled chicken and veggies to help you recover, every meal hits the spot. Plus, there’s always enough for everyone to eat their fill—something that matters when you’re burning thousands of calories a day. Even the snacks between sessions keep you going when your energy dips.

Spike Ball: My Favorite Off-the-Mat Activity

As much as I love wrestling, sometimes during camp downtime, I need to reset mentally. That’s where spike ball comes in. There’s something perfect about battling it out on the mat for hours, then grabbing a group and heading outside for a wild spike ball game. It’s competitive, fast-paced, and honestly hilarious. We dive, trash talk, make insane saves—it’s like wrestling’s goofy cousin in the form of a backyard game. Some of my best memories at Purler aren’t just from the mat—they’re from those spike ball games that went until sunset, surrounded by guys I now call my brothers.

A Brotherhood That Lasts

What ties it all together is the community you build at Purler. You come in not knowing half the people around you, but by the end of camp, you’ve bled, sweat, and grinded next to them. You’ve shared meals, stories, laughs, and wins. You’ve also shared the pain of long drills and exhausting practices—and that kind of shared suffering builds something real. Some of the guys I met here are now my year-round training partners or even my...

Dear Nick and all the coaches at Purler:

I wanted to express my deepest gratitude for the tremendous impact your 28-day camp had on my son, Hunter, who attended last month. He returned home a changed young man—more focused, motivated, and driven than ever before. As a parent, it’s truly inspiring and heartwarming to witness such a positive transformation.

Last night, Hunter was eager to show us some new moves he had been watching online, and as he talked about everything he learned at camp, I could see a new level of confidence in him. He even shared parts of his notebook from camp with us, which is filled with detailed notes and, impressively, affirmations that he’s begun writing down. I suspect these affirmations have become a powerful tool for him, something he revisits daily to reinforce his goals and maintain the disciplined mindset that your camp has instilled in him. It’s amazing to see how he’s using these goals not only to improve in wrestling but also to shape his approach to challenges in all areas of his life.

This morning, something remarkable happened that underscored just how far-reaching the impact of your camp has been. Hunter’s 7-year-old sister, Brynn—who is already a 2X state champ in freestyle and Greco  —got out of the car for school with a small notepad in hand. When I asked her what she had, she proudly showed me her written goals for the day, as well as for 2nd grade. She’s been inspired by her big brother’s new habits and is now setting her own goals and thinking about the future in ways I hadn’t expected from someone her age. It’s incredible to think that the lessons Hunter learned at camp are now trickling down to his younger sister, indirectly inspiring her to adopt a similar mindset. She claims she is ready to do the 56-day camp LOL.

Even my husband is feeling the ripple effect of Hunter’s growth. Before the camp, Hunter couldn’t quite pin him, but last night, for the first time, he managed to get him in a cradle! He’s been working out a lot more, so it won’t happen again . Moments like these remind me of how much Hunter has grown in strength, skill, and confidence. The progress he’s made is a testament not only to his hard work and dedication but also to the support and guidance from everyone at Purler.

Wrestling wasn’t something I grew up with or knew much about, but seeing how deeply invested both of my kids are now, I’m finding myself drawn into the sport. I’m spending more and more time watching videos to learn about the moves, points, and different styles, trying to keep up with all the enthusiasm in our household. It’s become something that’s not just part of their lives, but part of our family dynamic.

Thank you, Nick, and your entire staff, for everything you’ve done to help Hunter grow—both as an athlete and as a young man. I can see that the experience he’s had at your camp has been nothing short of transformative, and I’m excited to see where this journey will take him next. We’re all looking forward to the future with renewed excitement and anticipation, thanks to the incredible foundation you’ve helped him build.

Thank...
