Bay Paws Pet Resort - Wesley Chapel — Local services in Wesley Chapel

Recently had the not so great experience with the Wesley Chapel location. An hour after dropping off our 1 year old mixed breed rescue ; I received a phone call that he is a pit bull mix and would not he able to go into daycare. While he may have pit in him as all rescues do; Kylo is a regular daycare attendee at another day care/ we chose Bay paws because it was closer and more convenient. They stated that they don’t have breed restrictions however it is up to management to decide. Once again our dog is a regular attendee at another day care so if you have a pit mix do find yourself another location or daycare. The staff is not educated or experienced enough to handle dogs. The way I was spoken to over the phone made me so uncomfortable and unwelcome and it left such a bad taste in my mouth. I have worked in the pet care industry so I am experienced . I have shoes older than the people they have managing the facility. I see other reviews at other locations of poor care and it wouldn’t surprise me. I have even seen unprofessional behavior of posting their grand opening signs at our other dog daycare. Be warned there are better places out there. Do your homework. I...

Long story. We recently had to go on vacation and were leery about leaving our Gigi (a delicate golden doodle) anywhere. We visited 6 different pet resorts. Some were a hard pass due to the smell, or the conditions the pets were left in (hot and dark rooms/cages, poop in cages…). One resort was eliminated due to being too expensive. One, our vet location, was full. We chose Bay Paws of Wesley Chapel because it was cost effective as well as clean, and the cages/rooms were roomy and nice, the free camera, and what they promised to do to keep the dogs entertained. Two days into our vacation Gigi got very sick (she has a delicate stomach and anxiety makes her very sick), this is a recurring issue with her. Bay Paws went above and beyond to care for her. They maintained constant contact with us, took her to the vet and brought her back. They even upgraded her room to put her in a quieter area. I only have great things to say about them. And I thank for how caring they were with our baby. I will feel totally at peace leaving Gigi with them in the future, their care was exceptional and we are grateful for how they...

I’ve been taking my golden retriever, Bentley, to Bay Paws for a few months now but just got around to writing my review. However, they are incredible here! To start with, the facility is so clean and so big! They have both indoor and outdoors with a splash pad. The staff is amazing! They are the nicest people ever and take care of Bentley like he’s their own dog. They always make sure he’s taken care of! He has also been boarded there and the suites are so clean and have cameras as well. Every time I take Bentley, he’s the happiest boy and never wants to leave! Bentley loves them and loves Baypaws! He’s made so many doggo friends and I love how the staff embraces Bentley every morning! I don’t trust any other place to take care of my dog like they do.
