I came to Colorful Nails in Wesley Chapel on Friday, May 23rd after reading some great reviews and wanting to give them a try. I asked for a French manicure style, and at first, everything seemed fine.
By the next morning, Saturday, May 24th, while packing the car for a trip to Texas, one of my nails chipped. I called the salon right away to let them know and said Iâd come back after my trip to have it fixed. I wasnât upset âŠI just wanted it noted in case I had time to return.
But after landing in Texas just a few hours later, two more nails had popped off. At that point, I realized Iâd need to get a completely new set while on my trip, which was unplanned and frustrating. Thatâs when I called back and asked for a refund. I wasnât looking for a credit âŠI just didnât feel comfortable coming back after nails didnât last even 24 hours.
The manager explained they donât do refunds, only credits. Later, I received a follow-up call saying the owner confirmed that policy. They also mentioned that technicians are at different experience levels. While I understand that, I believe thatâs something a customer should be made aware of before the service. I appreciated that some of the staff offered to help, but by that point, I was out of state on a tight schedule, now having to find a new nail salon mid-trip

   Read moreThis has been my 3rd time and definitely my last. I usually only get pedicures and since I was going out of town for a special occasion I went with the dip nail polish. They accidentally did a different color gel polish on my toes from what was chosen. I let it slide and didn't want to fuss over something little. 4 days into my trip more than half of my nails started to lift and the rest of the tips were crack and chipped. When I returned home 8 days later and went back to the salon everyone there could agree that my nails were poorly done. According to the owner, they were unable to fix them due to their policy of 7 days. One of the nail techs felt horrible and insisted on removing them for me. As she started to drill them off the "dip" nail flew off. Did not even need to soak them. It is disappointing that I paid $130 total for a color I did not pick and the owner that was not present standing by the 7 day policy.
*To clarify some points from your response I did not say I was charged $130 I said I paid a total. Since you want to mentioned the amount of the tip you forgot to post that I gave the nail tech that did the dip $20 cash. The other tech left and I did not have enough cash so I put the $6 on my credit card. I also called the day I landed and your team explained they were short staff that day and to come in Monday. From my experience here, it seems walk-ins are prioritized over appointments. I scheduled 3 manicure appointments for my daughterâs birthday. We arrived to the salon 10 mins early and had no problem waiting until our scheduled appointment time. I was okay with my girls not sitting next to each other as long as they were able to get their nails done at the same time (our appointment time). Then I was told that it wasnât likely theyâd be able to all go at the same time because they were busy with walk ins and such. My daughter didnât get into the chair until 15 or so mins after our appointment time (thatâs reasonable I guess ) but her friends didnât get in the chair until 40-50 mins after our appointment time. Not only were we not taken care of at our appointment times, the lady helping us was not apologetic at all. Very disappointing and very unprofessional.
