The OB department in this hospital is severely lacking. They do not care at all about their patients or doing their job in anyway. My wife and I went here for her second pregnancy and right off the bat it seemed like they didn't care. She was 8 weeks and they didn't try to hear the heart beat, didn't check anything at all except send her out for blood draw. Fast forward a couple weeks and she has an appointment scheduled with the rn to setup up the rest of the appointments but 2 hrs before the appointment she started bleeding a little. She was concerned so she called them again again again and again and they never answered. She call the er and they said that if it's not heavy bleeding to just go to the appointment as scheduled and they would check her and the baby. She arrived and the rn didn't seem to care at all. The rn asked well do you want to finish the appointment and schedule all the future appointments or you can go to the er, they didn't want to do anything for her and didn't care one bit. She went to the er and they did everything that the ob could have done but didn't care to and everything turned out to be fine. Now thanks to laziness and carelessness we have to pay a big er bill that could have easily...

Went in yesterday to have my Nexplanon removed, and I am so blessed to have Dr. Hartfiel. Never had an OBYN be so patient and gentle, when I got my implant removed three years prior at McLaren Hospital they traumatized me with how they did my procedure. But Dr.Hartfiel at mid Michigan hospital knows how to treat people with dignity and compassion. He soothed my concerns and helped me step by step, I have almost a BB pellet sized cut where the stick came out of whereas when I had this done before at McLaren they cut me almost 2 inches wide. The nurses and staff are also very helpful and kind, So if you’re debating on a good fit for your OBYN needs I highly recommend Mid Michigan OBYN, they will treat you like the person you are. I myself feel I have finally found a respectable OBYN that actually listens and that’s a first for me in 29 years, what a blessing!. Thank you so much again...

In my opinion Dr hartfiel was rude and doesn’t show that he cares I was there for a appointment and I was crying and he straight up told me I should go to a therapist bc apparently crying in there is wrong and that I shouldn’t have anything emotion about how I was feeling that day and last time I was there they cut me during a procedure and I bleeding for a few days after being told I wouldn’t be hurt and after all that they still wouldn’t give me a written day off sheet for work worst place ever Don’t recommend they kick you out for...
