Locally owned non-chain Mexican restaurant on North M-30. Good solid Mexican -American fare. Restaurant is newly renovated, very clean. Large menu and full bar. Pitchers of margaritas are available. Salsa and chips were brought out as an appetizer. The salsa was fresh and tasty. The server was friendly and competent. Dinner did take a while to come out, but when it arrived, it was hot and tasty. It is a very good mid-western interpretation of Mexican food. (Pretty much what I expected.) The flan was good, but the deep fried ice cream was better. Make sure you order it early to reserve yours as it does sell out pretty fast. Dinner for 2 with drink and dessert was about $50.00. A fair value for the money. I am looking forward to going back.

First and foremost the atmosphere and service is awesome. There very attentive and super friendly. However some of the food is under seasoned or bland. Flan desert is flavorful and delicious but the deep fried ice cream has more flavor in the bread than the ice cream. Best way I can describe the ice cream is hint of vanilla with a semi sweet chocolate drizzle and the cinnamon sprinkled breading. All and all I'd still come here but I would avoid certain dishes.

I'm going to give this place another try. I really like the atmosphere. Waitresses are very friendly. The enchiladas came on a plate too hot for the waitress to carry. You know that means microwave. The "enchilada sauce" seams to be from mix packet. It was strong in spots and overall not great. Aside from that, the enchiladas themselves were tasty. Rice was decent little dry but good flavor.

I have been here a couple times. First time was during their grand opening to have a margaritas and an appetizer. The margaritas are made using a mix. Fresh is much better and not difficult at all. I got the chips and queso for the appetizer. It was watered down cheeseFoods.

Decided to go back and give them another opportunity. God knows this town needs some good food, not made by Gordon foods.

Second visit I got a beer from the tap and ordered fajitas and Chili Colorado. The beer showed up with a few fruit flies. The beans were obviously not fresh and was watered down as well. It was thin like a baby food. The meat that came with the fajitas was tiny and honestly, I question it being chicken and beef. The Chili Colorado was definitely not made correctly. It had a ton of chili powder and was unedible.

There Salsa is OK, but I have an issue with the salsa container they use. The container is about the size of a coffee pot. It was obviously more salsa then I could eat. I asked what happens to the salsa once we leave. They place it in the fridge waiting for the next customer. That's awful...how do they or anyone else know that the salsa wasn't contaminated before being served to another customer. I was also told that the do not wash the lids and containers on a regular basis.

I would be concerned that the kitchen and food items are not being taken care of. Where is the Health Departmment!?! Their as careless as this restaurant, so that may not be a good idea either. Nothing this restaurant does is fresh and the majority of the dishes are heated up in the microwave. Once again enduring the taste of Gordon Foods. Come on businesses! What sets you apart from your competitor when you use the same food provided by Gordon Foods.

I would also like to make mention that I am fluent in creating and preparing mexican dishes. This place is a shame. If this owner runs this facility this way, then I would definitely be concerned about the other location down south.

Never Again! I'll stay home and enjoy the taste of real authentic...

I spend a few months each summer in West Branch, and several weeks ago made my way through the maze of road construction to try out Cazadores. It's slightly off the beaten track (near the hospital), but was well worth the detour and definitely fills the bill for tasty food! And the margaritas go down smooth!

I was back for dinner last week for the second time this month. I spend most of the year living near Guadalajara, Mexico, and always feel fortunate when I find quality, authentic Mexican food that tastes like something I would be served in Mexico.

The salsa is fresh and varies from mild to a bit more spicy--it all depends on the fresh peppers. Delicious both times I've had it. My first meal was carnitas, and they were juicy and delicious. Even the rice and especially the beans, which are often just plate filler, are very good.

My most recent meal was a combo dinner that had a chile relleno, taco, chalupa, tamal, and they were all very good. Tamales sometimes fall flat, but this tamal was moist with plenty of flavor. The churros (l order them with the toppings on the side, just in case) are delicious with just the traditional cinnamon and sugar.

I'm heading back to Mexico soon, but plan to make it in to Cazadores one more time for an "hasta la vista" meal and margarita before heading south.

If you're in West Branch and wanting some authentic Mexican food, be sure to head on over to the west side of town to enjoy...

What a disappointment. Our server was clearly untrained and uninterested. She was quite impatient even though they were not full. Our food, when we finally got it, was microwaved garbage that seemed like it came from a box from the walmart freezer. REALLY LOUSY. This 'Authentic' Mexican restaurant only had one Mexican beer on draft. Our server brought our food and basically handed it to us and walked off. No exchange of any kind. She checked on us once as she walked by and never stopped. Again they weren't that busy. The table next to us sat there through most of our meal and finally flagged someone down to be waited on they didn't even have drinks yet. One star for service and One star for food because a negative star isn't an option. I will not be back until they go under and new owner tries...
