I’m absolutely disgusted. Dropped my bike off to have some services done. A headlight a starter and penn state inspection . They had my bike for over month. With absolutely no updates for first week. They called and stated to start everything they would require half. So i had it paid for and mistakenly paid it in full. Which is fine. Second week I hear nothing again. Then come to find out I had been dealing with parts guys the whole time so was never updated. 3rd week I get a call from Brian who states he’s the new service manager and will be giving me updates which I then did receive updates periodically. Which is good. But then the following week I’m informed bike should be all ready. Get a txt to pick it up. 5mins into my drive I get call stating “oh well it won’t start now” we gona keep it over night. Ok so the following morning I get call it’s all good. Great so I go to get it with the understanding that bike was done and ready. Get there to find tech “tinkering with my shifter”? Which if it’s courtesy that’s absolutely fine but at least inform your customer what you’re doing to their bike. Especially cuz there was never any discussion of adjusting my shifter. So I take bike home. Was not able to ride until today and I’m 5 mins from my house on my first ride with it back and my front brake lever assembly practically falls off my bike. Mind you I adjusted all my levers when i got my bike years ago. And have had zero issues. But my concern is that when I called they basically said they could care less and bring it to them. I work in the service industry. And I would never let a vehicle leave without checking it over to ensure everything is safe and working properly. If I was a inexperienced rider and had to emergency stop I could have wrecked and got seriously hurt if not worse. Completely utterly disappointed and honestly scared they let that slip through cracks what else has made it out there. Hope this helps someone else b4 they waste money or get hurt. Pictures for reference. Brake lever clamp bolts hand tight. And lever is not clamped correctly and is moving. HUGE SAFETY CONCERN. Funny the response comes from someone who had absolutely no involvement and in the process at all.. I also requested to have a discussion with the owner which I will now assume is this Susan character. And was more less told to kick rocks. At that point yes I did get very upset and yes there was a friend of mine with me and if you yourself would have spoke to me was reiterating what I said because clearly safety is not ur concern once you’ve got your money. And I regret to inform you but I was respectful throughout the entire process though quite upset due to your lack of communication. But yeah I absolutely used some language when I was told my bike was done and I pick it up to find it was a clearly not. And not just something little like a missing clip or a screw but my brake components. Which wasn’t even to be touched. Buts anyone that would like the facts plz feel free to reach out I will gladly share the whole true story with documentation. Transcriptions and all.

In short: My experience at Cycle Max confirmed that the overwhelmingly positive reviews they receive are completely earned. Wide range of inventory. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Fair prices. Prompt sales. Straightforward. A bit more: Went with these folks for my first bike after shopping around a bit. Didn’t want to deal with the uncertainty of private sellers. Other dealers were more expensive, less responsive, and (for me) considerably further away from home. Right away, the customer service was way better than the other places where it seemed like you had to try to get them to sell you something. Tyler was quick to respond, follow up, and get me what I wanted. Price was a little steep if I’m being stingy, but definitely fair for buying used from a dealer - worth the little extra for peace of mind, knowing I got something from a professional place that’ll stay on the road. I didn’t know anything about motorcycles (let alone wrenching on ‘em) going in and, had I, I’m pretty sure they would have worked with me if I wanted to try to haggle. All the staff is welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I didn’t feel out of place even with being completely novice. The storefront is impressive. Plenty of gear to suit your needs. Lots of cool inventory to look at if you’re browsing, or if you’re just killing (the very little bit of) time while the staff is assisting you. The purchasing process was a breeze. Tyler helped me through the purchase exactly as you’d want - concise but thorough, honest and knowledgable about any questions I had (or didn’t know I had), and didn’t try to sell me on anything I didn’t need. In and out the door in probably 30 minutes - awesome! Nothing like, for instance, the headache of going to a car dealer. Definitely a pleasure to bring my business here. Super stoked thumpin’ around Chester County on my little Z125 and you can be sure I’ll be going back when I inevitably want something with a little more oomph. Thanks again Tyler and Cycle Max!

Recently I was looking for a (2010 honda Elite Nhx 110 ) in red, and I found one for sale by Cyclemax on cycletrader. It was advertised as $1,599. So when I called Cyclemax to inquire about the scooter, Brian told me the scooter is on consignment and I made an offer of $1,400. Brian told me that he'll call the owner and get back to me. They called me the day before Christmas to tell me that the owner accepted my offer. So I called them Tuesday morning since they were closed the following 4 days for xmas. They sent me a link by texted to send my deposit . 4 hours later Brian called me to tell me that they took a deposit from another candidate because the manager wanted to sell the scooter locally. I was like "huh" meaning Cyclemax is located in Pennsylvania and I'm from Long Island New York. I told them that they're being prejudiced because I'm from out of state. And the other candidate was paying full price. Whatever happened to first come first serve and reaching out to me to give a heads up. I was going to send to them my deposit midday because I wasn't able to submit my deposit with them until my lunch break at work. So I called to asked who was the manager and I would to speak with them. To find out that the guy Brian I was talking to was the manager all along, and he lied to me. That's very shady, unprofessional and a waste of time. This to me is bad business practice. I had to cancel my Rent-A-Car pickup truck reservation because I told them that I was coming for it I guaranteed it and they couldn't wait 2 hours for me to submit the deposit when I told him I was. Put it this way I'm a very generous person and I would have gave them a bigger tip then they would have made on commission for this . Cycle Max gets a f-. And my fiance was heartbroken because we wanted to buy a matching scooter so we could ride together because I I bought an identical Honda nhx scooter one month prior. So F/U Cyclemax for poor customer service, poor business ethics, and lying.

Had my bike here for a carb rebuild and I was promised they would have my parts in and get started on it in a couple of weeks. But it took them over 2 months to complete the project and there was no communication on the delay. Most of the communication was when i made a phone call to them.

When I called in mid july to check on there lead time on service work they said they could get to it around the end of the month so i went with them instead of another repair shop because of the shorter lead time. I didnt hear anything from them so i called them on August 5th and they said they still hadn't looked at it yet, so they finally looked at my bike on August 13th and ordered the parts. At that time I was told that the parts would be there in about 2 weeks and then they would start on it. So 4 weeks went by and I called them again on September 10th to find out what was up and they tell me they are still waiting on a part, but again there was no communication on the delay. I then wait a few weeks and hear nothing and call them again on September 25th and they tell me the got all the parts in and will be starting on it soon. I call in on October 8th to check on the status again and they still have not started on my bike. Then I finally got a call from them for a change, on October 10th (2 months after the parts were orderd) saying they got started on my bike and they found a few more things the need to be replaced which is understandable. So finally got my bike back on October 24th, 3 months after I dropped it off. I do not understand how it takes a place that works on bikes so long to get parts. I could have had most of the parts shipped to my place in about a week.

It seems that they had a bigger back log of work then I was lead to believe which is every frustrating. Since I was lead to believe they could start on bike much sooner then they did. As it turns out I would have got my bike back much sooner if would have taken it to the other repair shop.

In the future I will be taking my...
