Dollar General — Local services in West Earl Township

I have gone to this location several times from getting out from work in Lititz. Almost every single time that I've gone there it is has be 10 to15 minutes before they're supposed to close at 10pm. Almost every time the doors are locked or one of the employees is at the door locking them and they could clearly see me. I'm sorry but if the hours say 10pm then that means 10pm. I worked retail every single job I have had in my career except at my current jobs now and we never closed our doors until the actual time. Even if a customer showed up at our door one minute before close. I am a reasonable person and would be ok in those situations if it had been after the actual close time but that is a horrible way of doing business and it needs...

Dollar General is good for a quick stop if your forgot something, but to do any kind of real shopping I would go somewhere else. Sure they do have some good deals and some of there stuff is priced better, but a lot of it is not. You can absolutely catch some good sales. This dollar general is fairly cleaner then other dollar generals I have been in. I like it because it is on my commute so I don't have to go out of my way if I forgot something. They have snack items, drinks, some basic food items, kitchen items, cleaning supplies, pet food, toiletries, stationary items etc. They have a little bit of your basic needs. Normally you can get in and out of there quickly which is a plus. The parking lot is huge. The staff are helpful...

Walking into the store through the stench of cigarette smoke because the employee was out front directly infront of the door smoking was disgusting. Then to have the employee come into the store behind you, and not even say hello, was a turn off. They were even up at the front when I checked.... Not even a "Have a nice evening"..."Thanks for shopping at DG!" Some additional training and guidance needs to be provided, if you are in the business of providing goods and services (customer service). And the store had a horrible sour smell, as though the mop or whatever was used to clean the floors was not dried properly or old dirty mop...
