Amazing fall and must see if you are going to visit St Mary side of glaciers. It’s about 2 miles from parking lot. Most of the folks stop at Saint Mary falls which is beautiful too but this one is more amazing and less crowded. There are some rapids near Saint Mary falls and people get confused thinking that is the Virginia fall. There is a sign near Virginia falls that will tell you that you are close. Read moreWe started our out and back hike from a Sun Point Nature trail and ended it with Virginia Falls. The trail is beautiful and is also known as the “three falls trail” because of Barring, St. Mary and Virginia Falls. The trail has some spectacular views of the St. Mary lake as well. The lake was blue, pristine and beautiful. We did this trail the very first day thinking it’d be a light one but it does get steep after St. Mary falls. So take some rest at St. Mary falls and if you still have time and energy, I’d highly recommend continuing the trail to see the even more impressive...
Read moreVirginia Falls is just a short hike from St. Mary's falls, and it is so worth it! The water fall is about 50 feet high and probably one of the most stunning waterfalls in the park. Total round-trip length is about 3.6 miles with a slight elevation change. Make sure you get here extremely early though, or take the shuttle because it can get very very busy. Also, watch your step at the falls because the wet rocks can be quite slippery. You will probably get wet too, but it's wonderful...
