The administration management is very sloppy to say the least. I'm giving 2 stars because the emission inspection class and safety inspection class are actually good. My first problem is I was emailed about the starting date of my first class was in September 21 2020 when the official website says it's starting date was September 22 2020. I later found out it was September 22 the starting date. My second problem was the front office got the wrong class room number for the emission class. A kind janitor saw me wondering in hallways gave me the proper directions of the actual emission class which is not even near the wrong class room, it was the other side of the hallway. My third problem is I failed the tactile test and I sign up for a retest. Amber contacted me of what test I'm retaking and I told her the tactile test. My instructor was told I was going to take the written test. My forth and final problem is I signed up for welding class and I later found out I can't make it. So I emailed Debra Dieugenio for cancelation and she did not contact back to me. Interesting, Debra was excited when I signed up for the welding class but when I have to cancel the class, she ignored me like an immature person. I tried calling the Mount Joy campus and nobody is picking up. One day, I drove to the Mount Joy campus with the crazy gas prices these days (in 2022). I met the front desk lady and she told me to call Bethany in the Willow Street campus for the class cancelation. I managed to contact Bethany and got the class canceled and got my refund.
Next time I need vocational school training, I'm not coming back to Lancaster CTC. And I was referred to Lancaster CTC by someone who works at Jones car dealership. Ridiculous, is what I can...
Read moreMy daughter took the diesel technology class this year. They have had 3 instructors this year already with 1 only lasting 4 days and numerous substitutes. When I called to voice my concerns about their testing I was told not to worry that they should all know the information needed. 5 out of 23 FAILED their test which gives them their certification saying that they learned and mastered their skills. Now today, the original instructor gave them their inspection license test when half of the class is on the CTC class trip to Hershey Park. 6 out of this part of the class FAILED their test. The kids that went to Hershey park get to have an extra week to study. How was that fair? The kids in this class have learned nothing and will now end up suffering the consequences of the indifference of the instructors and faculty of Willow Street CTC
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLASS FOR ANYONE THAT IS SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING IN THE DIESEL BUSINESS UNTIL THEY GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER AND GET A TEACHER THERE FOR AWHILE THAT KNOWS HOW TO TEACH STUDENTS AND WANTS THEM TO SUCCEED. Maybe this new teacher is it but he came a little too late...
Read moreI attended cosmetology for the 2016-2017 school year and i can say that it was the best decision i have ever made. If it weren't for this program i would not have been able to persue my dream of being a Beautician as i could not afford to go to a private cosmetology school. As the school year went by i girls of all ages in my chair and even now as i work in a profresional salon, they all tell me that cosmetology is something they would want to do when they are older. I strongly feel that this program taught me more than just cosmetology but also basic life skills. The Cosmetology programs gave me an oppourtunity to help people in my own way and be who i was. The program gives young girls the oppourtunity follow their dreams as well. Cosmetology is also open to public so the program gives a community service at a lower, and more reasonable price that the people can afford. The clients that i had would often tell me that if it werent for the program they would not be able to get their haircut or even their childrens haircut. I really believe that the cosmetology program is an asset to...
