Scheduled a donation pickup a month ago for today for a lot of excess furniture that came with our house. Couldn't get a pickup any sooner than a month out. When they confirmed the date via email, it said items were still up to the driver's discretion. I replied back saying this is a pickup a month away of a lot of large items taking up space in our house -- I sent photos, can I get any reassurance this is worth my time to wait and they'll pick up this furniture? They said I had sent photos or they wouldn't have accepted the pickup request... I felt 0% confident in that vague response, so we proceeded to try and get rid of things via other store pickups. Had a few pieces left (a sectional and a headboard) and I notified them earlier in the week of the smaller pickup. No response. Pickup day comes and I have no phone call, no email, etc. to tell me when they're coming. Just have to sit around and wait. Eventually I get a call after noon from a seemingly nice person saying I was third on the list. They showed up within about 2 hours and denied the furniture.
What kind of process is this? No wonder there are reviews about an empty store with no inventory. Was the furniture the most up to date? No. Probably '00s. Was it in good, functional condition that I'm sure someone who was in need would have appreciated? Yup, as the photos showed. But you make me schedule a pickup a month out just to deny everything anyway? What a complete waste of my time AND your time! It would have been nice to get an ETA the day before so we aren't just sitting around waiting all day, too, but I guess that's way too much to ask...
Don't bother calling them for a furniture pickup unless it's something brand new and currently "in style" I guess. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Now we'll have to resort to junkers and it'll just sit in a landfill because I no longer have the...

Read moreI would give zero stars if I could. I am 2 for 2 in Habitat for Humanity thinking nothing of wasting my time. After my first experience with them, I should not have given them another chance. But I did. NEVER AGAIN. I understand if they do not want the furniture, but I do not understand them not giving donors the courtesy of letting them know in advance that they cannot take their furniture. They require pictures... I sent pictures... very clear pictures. Their excuse is that some things present differently in person, WHICH IS A B.S. EXCUSE FOR THEM NOT DOING THEIR JOB. The furniture I was trying to donate presented itself very accurately in the pictures. They said they would take the furniture. I waited 3 weeks for them to pick it up, and then waited 2 hours more for them to arrive on the day of pick up, only to be informed by the driver that they wouldn't take half of what I had waiting for them. *THE FINAL SAY IS THE DISCRETION OF THE DRIVER. IN REALITY, THEY DON'T DO THEIR HOMEWORK, AND THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT WASTING YOUR TIME. The pictures mean nothing. They let you jump through hoops to donate and don't give you the courtesy of doing their part in advance. YOU CANNOT COUNT ON THEM TO TAKE WHAT THEY SAY THEY WILL...
