My wife and I did our Advanced Open Water with JP and I don't believe we could have found a better instructor, he's patient and he actually cares about your success, and safety, in the water. This past weekend I did my DAN DEMPS training for CPR and HLMI and O2 along with my SDI Rescue Diver course with JP.

JP made the entire experience pleasurable, even though the classroom part for DEMPS can be long, I never felt bored, always challenged. He is great at showing what you need to do in the water and also is one of the best at debriefing I've ever seen in my entire life. Getting things wrong and failing at first is a guarantee, none of us will be perfect our first try on most skills in Rescue, but with JP you don't feel embarrassed or ashamed, you know he's going to talk you through it and help you to successfully do it the next try.

For most of us, Rescue Diver will be the most challenging certification thus far in the journey to being a professional diver , physically and mentally, but JP makes it all that much 'easier' on you because he let's you know that he understands what you're going through and it's ok not to be perfect or get it right on the first try. For all of you considering taking Rescue Diver with JP, I'd say do it without thought or hesitation. The part to look forward to, and I give no spoilers, is when you first get on the boat for the last day of Rescue training, JP will make it challenging and funny, helping to keep your mind at ease, but constantly learning.
