AWESOME STOP, BUT BE CAREFUL WITH KIDS.
We came here while on vacation. It is a really unique spot, and some beautiful views. It is not really a hike...more like hike "around". It is not fenced once crossing the bridge and there are many places with significant drops that could be dangerous if children are not supervised. That said, we came with kids ages 7-16 and everyone survived...so don't over react. Use good sense, watch your kids, and this is a great...
Read moreIt’s awesome, but kind of underwhelming. The bridge had a big puddle on it, but it posed no problems as you can just walk across on the side of the bridge. There is a really short trail in the woods that leads to nothing. I suppose if you are daring or crazy you could climb down to the falls themselves, but that seems rather risky. It could potentially be a good spot by the highway for a picnic or something of the sort...
Read moreThis was a great surprise to find- Public outhouse bathroom is here. Nice let of waterfalls/rapids with a couple potholes carved in the rocks. Looks like an old mill was here at one time. There is a bridge to walk across to get to the other side. A marker is at the far end of the rest area- belong the outhouse, that explains who John Snow was- who this rest area was named after. ...
