RubyClaire Boutique — Local services in West Point

If I could write a zero star review, I would. I wish I would have looked at these reviews before purchasing. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE!! I am ashamed that I got scammed from this company who claims they are American-made-located company. RubyClaire Boutique’s website and social media gave off a cute boutique vibe. Shipping took over a month to receive my items, even though their website says 7-10 days... whe reaching out to their customer service, they replied with a China-based email, said the items were being "handmade", so I waiting patiently.

After finally receiving the items, the sizing was inaccurate. I ordered an XL, which is what I wear in most everything, and even matched my size to their provided size chart. 2 of the 3 items look like they might fit my 10 year old niece, who wears an adult small. The other item had poor fabric, not what it appeared on the website at all, and we won't even talk about the color discrepancy from the picture to in person. When reaching back out to customer service, to return, their proposed solutions were unacceptable: a 10%, then 20%, and finally a 30% refund, or for me to pay to return the items to China, not the address on their website! When addressing their sizing discrepancy, they basically just said I didn't measure correctly, even after I sent pictures and screenshots of their charts. According to the garment size, not their charts, if I wanted to actually wear the items, I would likely need a 5XL, which they don't offer! I owned a local clothing boutique for 7 years in the midwest, and customer service is everything! Customer is always right and you return the item, regardless of how much profit loss that's going to cause! It appears that their company is more interested in making a quick profit than in customer satisfaction. At this point, I have decided to accept their 30% refund, we will see if I get it, and try to sell the items on marketplace place to someone alot smaller, who can hopefully fit into them... then they had the audacity to ask if I would leave a 5 star review! Ha! I REPEAT, DO NOT SHOP...

I usually don’t write reviews, but others must be aware. RubyClaire Boutique’s website and social media give off a cute, upscale vibe, but my experience was far from that. I chose the 5-8 day shipping option, but it took over a month to receive my items, missing the purpose of my purchase. Customer service replied from a China-based email, said the items were still being made, and refused to cancel my order when I requested a refund. When I expressed concern about delivery while I was out of town, they suggested asking a neighbor to retrieve the package.

I also mentioned to them during email exchanges that they present themselves as an American-Made / based company, but produce/operate in China, they did not deny this statement. The items finally arrived, but the material was poor, and sizing was inaccurate. Their proposed solutions were unacceptable: a 10%, then 20%, and finally a 30% refund, or for me to pay an estimated $55 to return the items to China, not the address on their website. This discrepancy speaks volumes about the mass production and likely poor quality of these items. I have repeatedly ordered and have always received my items within 5 business days! The one star reviews are because of a site impersonating ruby claire boutique by using a slightly different URL. The scam site is based out of china and shipping their own items that are not legitimately offered at ruby claire. Ruby Claire is based out of Utah and all my packages have been clearly labeled and shipped from Utah. It's a bummer that some people were scammed but don't let that stop you from supporting this small business ran and operated from the US. If you are seeing this review then you are in the right place and at the real site! I have many dresses from them and they are very flattering and great quality!
