Wyatt-Ogg Furniture Company — Local services in West Point

Make sure they give you the correct price up front. We went there to buy a washer and dryer today. We were told one price. The price was agreeable, so we looked around for some other things while we were there, since we planned on purchasing the washer /dryer set. Once it came time to settle up, I had to have a credit check run, even though we had been buying furniture and appliances there for over a decade. The credit check will ding your credit a few points, but I let them run it, and I was approved. Then, the young man behind the counter tells me that what were were buying was roughly 500.00 dollars MORE than what we had been told buy the young woman who was helping us the entire time. Bottom line he insisted he couldn't possibly give it to us for the price that we had been told originally the entire time. Instead of making a scene, which was what I was VERY close to doing, we walked out. So make certain when you go in there that the person who helps you knows what they are talking about. I got my credit dinged for a credit check that didn't amount to anything because at check out they wanted to charge us roughly 500 more than we had been told the entire time, with absolutely NOTHING to show for it. No apology. No nothing. We had been going to this store for over a decade. We will not go back. This isn't the same store it was the first time we walked in all those years ago. I'll go to Lowes, where the big box price is cheaper than the local store. There is a reason local businesses are struggling right now. This is just one of them. Our time was wasted. My credit has been effected, and we have nothing to show for it. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone ever again. Don't waste...

My parents kept telling me to go to Wyatt-Ogg, but I had found what I wanted on line. I ordered from company "X", and waited 3 months, finally canceled my order and came to the conclusion I would have to settle for something else.

I walked in Wyatt-Ogg on a Wednesday at lunch, just looking, and before my eyes was the set I was waiting 3 months for...IN STOCK! I asked how much for the couch and recliner, the answer I was given was 500.00 cheaper than what I was going to pay.

The best part of the review, honest, friendly customer service, and would you believe 2 hours later, that set was in my house!

Thank you guys for the best furniture shopping experience, I could have had. I'm coming to you guys first next time.

Moral of the story, your parents are...

Placed order for furniture in the beginning of March. I was told the furniture would be here end of May- early June. Waited until end of May and never heard from company, so I called and they said due to demand it was delayed further to end of June- early July. At end of June heard nothing from company and called told our furniture is delayed until September because of production/ shortage on foam etc. Each time I call I am asked to provide my name and phone number for Wyatt-Ogg to call back and it take several hours- days to get a response. I would like better communication on my furniture production and some type of compensation for my time...
