The racing was great, but racing fans who have been going to race tracks for decades will be disappointed. The stands are way too cramped for a typical race fan. We were elbow to rib cage, and knee to knee and spread eagle because no space for knee in front of you. Advance ticket sales only, which I can deal with, but then we still have to wait through one slow moving 'security' line to get in? Not cool. They easily could have had 4 lines. Not secure either because those with hand stamp could bypass security and bring any alcohol or guns in they wanted to. I and those around me felt ripped off as the premium seats we bought were not on an aisle as shown at purchase but squeezed against the rail with no way out. I needed that aisle seat because I need to get up and pee often. There was no one to address any issues or questions except security, who were somewhat willing but unable to help. I always buy a pit pass because I have years of racing experience and I don't mind paying extra to see the cars and offer to help if a racer needs it. The answer from Tri City? NO! The whole of the organizing was focused on ease and convenience and profit for promoter, not the paying customer. They cared more about controlling the paying customer than providing a good spectating experience. I understand the local police own the facility and I assume the authoritarian crowd control unfriendly overview comes from them. I'm not driving 160 miles both ways to be so disrespected again. BTW, I fly to CA, AZ for good racing and am always treated like they appreciate my attendance, not just tolerate it. I wouldn't give Tri City another dime until I know they've changed...
Read moreAlot to say about going to the monster truck event. So first off I really didn't like how I was treated at this event. They wanted to search my bag and so I let them they tripped out on me over a lil cbd flavored packet of water I had in my bag and then So I said I would just put my whole bag back in the car to avoid her pulling all the stuff our of my back pack and going through all of my stuff. It honestly was embarrassing because it was hot outside and a line of people behind us waiting to get in too and my kids were watching as she was pulling out my lady personals. It was just so disrespectful and then as I said that I can take My bag back to the car and she heard me say it she goes wellllll and hands my bag over to her partner that was there with her and that lady proceeds to do the same thing and pulling out all my stuff so I told her idk why you need to go through my stuff too when I already told the other lady I'd put it back in the car and she proceeds to get an attitude also and said well i didnt hear yiu but she did. So basically it felt like I was being profiled and it was embarrassing and I will...
Read moreSo I'm a novice when it comes to Autocross and these people did an excellent job in trying to teach me as much as possible. Unfortunately there was like 10 other Novice drivers there and they all needed help too. I understand, but they all did the best they could trying to give me pointers.
I only wish Autocross events were held more often. Once a month is just not enough for me. I need and want more. I'm pretty sure that if they held bi-weekly events that plenty of people would still show up. I know I'd be there every weekend but then again, the people who set up the track and get there early have my gratitude and doing that every other weekend rather than spending time with your kids could get a little old...
