Last evening (9/22/2013), my wife and I took our two young children to the Bounce U location in Exton, Pennsylvania. We have patronized this establishment at least five to eight times annually for approximately three years. Prior to yesterday, we never had a negative experience with the staff or its operations. However, the location has been placed under new management since we last visited earlier in the summer—and therein resides the problem. My wife purchased a Bounce Pass promotional offer that included 10 visits for a low, fixed price earlier in the year. The pass was marked to expire on 8/31/2013. The previous time my wife took our kids, she asked the manager on duty if the Bounce Pass did, in fact, expire on 8/31—or if it was simply a formality (a la Bed, Bath and Beyond’s “non-expiring” coupon promotions). The manager informed my wife that the Bounce Pass NEVER expired and could be used until it was comprehensively exhausted. Yesterday, we presented the Bounce Pass to the employee at the desk, and she refused to honor it. She suggested that the location was under new management. I asked to speak to the manager on duty and explain the situation. After my wife informed the current manager what she had been told earlier in the summer, the individual uncompromisingly explained that it was no longer this location’s policy to honor promotions issued or extended by previous management. I suggested that management turnover was not a dilemma of ours, and indicated that it would be prudent for any outfit still functioning under the same name as the previous establishment to uphold all promotional offers and implicit language—irrespective of operational logistics. Again, the manager remained steadfast in her haughty convictions and was fundamentally unwilling to honor the Bounce Pass, or even make a marginal effort to accommodate us in any sensible capacity (e.g., charge full admission for one child, and comp the other one). At this juncture, I grew increasingly frustrated and informed the manager of the potential ramifications of negative feedback incurred on Yelp, Facebook and other social media platforms. Again, she exhibited no concern and walked away from us. The most irksome aspect of this entire exchange was knowing forthrightly that the establishment had us over a barrel. While any adult simply has the option to refuse to pay and walk away, doing so with respect to disappointing our children is a highly undesirable outcome. Such flagrant, conspicuously applied leverage left a particularly bad taste in my mouth. An incomprehensively bad business practice. We will never return to the Exton Bounce U location. Jumpers Fun Center in Edgemont and Pump It Up in West Chester will benefit from the unabashed intransigence of Bounce U’s...
Read moreTwo young girls were assigned to our party and all they did was chat amongst themselves instead of engaging with the children. Majority of the time one of them left the party to attend other parties. This day may have been an off day with incompetent crew. We’ve had good experiences here but today’s crew was disappointing and negligent. A child climbed up the opposite way of the big slide while multiple children were sliding down. The party crew just stood and watched instead of enforcing rules. Very dangerous. These two young girls clearly were not responsible and did not care for the children. We have canceled our future birthday party here.
Edit: I called the location to clarify and spoke with Dave. He will be reviewing the cameras to help with internal training as needed. He did confirm that the two hosts mentioned above were not a regular crew. He also agreed that this is not an excuse and he will be training his hosts as needed be. This interaction made a difference in our consideration to use this location. Will continue to take into account of what other parents are saying about their party hosts experience. Great job in communicate and thank...
Read moreWorst place I have ever booked a party for a child. I have bad wonderful experiences at every other establishment except this one. From the entire experience it has been nothing but complete ignorance and disrespect. The male over is an absolute jerk and will belittle you refused to give any info until a week of the party which doesn’t help a normal parent who is planning for 30-45+ people at all. While at the party the two girls did so much talking instead of allowing children to actually enjoy themselves and play. It was a 2 hr party and we got move into 3 different rooms within this time the kids were so upset. Also, just be aware the unlimited drinks even for water are not unlimited you get two thats it even though its an additional about $50 this is a scam! My kids were rushed to finish cake/pizza the girls were bagging items up before anyone was even finished. I’m disgusted by this place and would NEVER RECOMMEND IT! GIANT RIP OFF. Also completely they reject drinks for children until the party room. Lol shut this...
