Island Park Reservations — Local services in West Yellowstone

My family has been using Island Park Reservations for years, largely because they're one of the only rental agencies in the area. They are typically good to work with but they are HARD to get someone on the phone. They only answer sporadically, don't return phone calls, are slow to reply to e-mails etc. As a warning - they will ALWAYS take the homeowners side. I would suggest taking photos of your rental when you arrive to document the condition of the home/furniture etc. We've been vacationing with them for 6 years now and only had one problematic year. We ended up getting charged ~$800 in "damages" for stuffed animals and blinds. If we had actually done damage this would be more understanding but the toys we were accused of ruining were put away day 1 and the blinds were in a room assigned to our grandparents who aren't exactly the rambunctious type ;) Like I said, it only happened one year but it left a sour taste in my mouth for the agency. Booked with family through Airbnb, Got charged a $225 cleaning fee upfront. Guess what, dirty dishes, food residue in dishwasher, propane tank next to an open lighter fluid bottle outside….not sure what that cleaning fee went to besides the Island Park Res. people’s pockets. They had a sign that said that if a bat gets in the house, we are responsible for paying for pest control. And GUESS WHAT there was already a bat in the house! They do not respond to phone calls or texts (even though they say text us because they be in a low service area….) The gate card key was left inside the house so we had no way of actually getting into the neighborhood on our check in day, which is more proof that CLEARLY año one even looked at the house before new guests arrived.

This company should ge uo rly be out of business but I’m sure they are able to stay afloat with all their BS charges. TRASH DISGUSTING UNPROFESSIONAL DO BOT RECOMMEND EVEN...

I'll start out by saying the Cabin we stayed in was clean, inviting and well equipped with the essentials. However 2 days before our arrival we received an email about the water issues and how it needed to be boiled. Turns out this has been going on for quite some time and didn't just happen 2 days before we arrived. IPR didn't include the full warning about boiling water. All IPR included was to not drink from the tap. My whole family washed dishes, brushed teeth and bathed in E.Coli contaminated water. I had to track down the water test results online and find out myself. Now I'm sick and missing work. Google Island Park Idaho water issues and you'll see for yourself.
