I would have loved so badly to give this place a rave review based on the first experience I had. However I have to give it an awful review.
I purchased a jacket from this store and when I asked the associate if I could return if it didnât fit my husband she said absolutely they have a 14 day return policy. (Emma)
The next day from purchase, I call to see if they have have it in a size smaller, they do not, so I tell her on the phone I will come to return the jacket. She says absolutely no problem. (Allison I believe)
15 minutes later... I show up at the store and let the associate know I am returning the jacket, no sooner that I say I am returning the jacket he says he canât accept the return. I explain all the conversations I had with previous people and he said first, no returns on items on sale. I said well you should probably inform your other staff members because two of them told me otherwise. He then decided a he canât return it because of a small white residue smear, which was in fact salt that probably got on it transferring from car to store. He then concocted this story about how I probably used the jacket but kept the tags on. Who accuses someone of that?!? Especially a customer, patron, anyone!
This is what was so appalling. How dare someone accuse a customer of this. After purchasing the jacket less than 24 hrs ago with ZERO sign of wear. I could have taken my finger and wiped the salt off but he immediately took the jacket from me when I suggested that.
THEN when he finally agreed to give me the return when he (Mike, the manager) realized I wasnât backing down, I explained to him that I purchased the jacket partially with a gift card, and the rest on my debit. He was so unprofessional and said âI will just have to give you cash thenâ whips open the cash register and practically throws the money over the counter.
I then explain to him to have a nice day, he doesnât even respond. But walks away.
I used to be an employee of this mountain, have so many fantastic and fond memories. And this experience RUINED it....
Read moreWhat a great DEMO day and an AMAZING staff!!! So friendly and knowledgeable and willing to help out. Though the analog inventory system inside is challenging for all, if you have a little patience, the conversations you can have are entertaining, insightful, and wonderfully human. Both the service and products are excellent. Please DO come here and Demo... I went Friday and tried a couple snowboards out with the Burton Step On bindings to see how it felt after I broke my 30 yr old Burton freestyle clickers last Friday. (Last pick) Andy was so helpful orchestrating everything, and Dominic knew everything about the boards and gave me 2 to try...(a Ride Saturday Twin Tip & a Gnu Gloss) - he was SPOT on predicting I'd like the Gnu from what I said I wanted to try and what I had before. In fact...i loved it so much, I spoke with Becky to get the board. She made my entire season happy with a special discount I requested due to some inventory mix-up, a bit of waiting time during an extra busy hour(s) and a bit of extra đ«. It was ALL worth it cause I LOVE the board, I now luv the staff and even though I tore my ACL 20 yrs ago this season at Wachusett while learning how to make big jumps, I still love the Mountain so much that I bought a season pass for the 1st time in my entire life(in my 40's)..... And I live an hr away (without traffic đ ). Audrey on the phone was excellent, Andy and Dominic at the Demo shop were superb and Becky was the heart of it all. Thank you team for truly making my return to the sport and what COULD have been a painful experience just amazing. Oh and the conditions after 2 days of heavy rains and 1 day of snowmaking were unbelievable. Big Mtn feel... minutes away đ All...
Read moreThis store is not so wonderful as used to be in the past. You will find out why when you'll try to return an useless and/or defective item as myself and my son experienced yesterday. We bought a ski bag for my son's ski. When we went back to return it (about 3 hours later) because skis don't fit into the bag, they refused to take it back saying it was used already. I said we tried to use it but we couldn't. Then they said there is a dirt on it. I said there are just wet snow spots (I don't see them today at all). But the saler said she consulted with her supervisor, and the answer is "No". Then I just showed he how the bag does not fit the most of the skis they have in store, but without any result. Even her manager she talked to previously was there, but did not come to see what's going on (dealing with upset customer). I bought a ski bag from the same store long time ago and it is 12 inches longer than the new one. In short - be alert because MTNSide does not accept...
