I have been going to this location for about 20yrs the old owners were great and very communicative . They even called me when my loans were due so I wouldn't lose my items.New owners switched over to app based system and I was able to get messages and pay my loan thru the app everything was great. After not receiving notifications or anything in the mail stating that my loan was due I stopped by the shop.Well I lost about $3000.00 worth of tools because I didn't pay the approx. $70 that was due for my items. When I asked what happened the guy scratched his head and said they were sold months ago. I said ok and asked him why I didn't receive any notices on my items and he told me it was my fault and then they pulled up there app and showed me all the notifications that were supposedly sent to me, I check my app after I left and there was no notifications from them . Only 1 transaction that I had showed I had made a payment previously. Also when I was in there shop I asked for a copy of my agreement so I could see the rules of the loan, They refused to give me a copy. If you like your items and want to get them back go somewhere else.I will definitely be filling a complaint with the state of California consumer affairs.This bossiness is shady. Go...

This shop is a musicians dream, If like most artists, now and then you need to get a short term loan, and these folks not only appraise and value your gear fairly, but they don't treat you like a desperate bum, as other shops do, in fact I always end up learning more about gear after a visit, heck I'll go here when I have money just to see the selection of the inventory. Another thing while I don't suggest this, should you miss your re-pay date by a day or 2 it's not like they say too bad so sad and your gear is sitting with a price tag on it. (something I have exprirenced in the past at other places over the years). One very positive issue they take better care of your gear while they have it than you probably, I mean never a spot of dust, no dings or scratches on your road case. So honest store ethic, fairness, reasonable terms that don't low ball or denagrade your item, (and a little respect goes a long way when you're feeling a finiancal crunch), So 5 stars well earned if you need a loan, to sell or buy these guys and their knowlege base always makes it a pleasure to visit even if just to browse oh and they don't hover over you while you shop, A major plus in the service catagory at which these good folks are...

I went in there the night before to sell a gucci belt came to a price agreement but their verification place they use in New York was closed so I had to come back the next morning. Came back this morning and the guy helping me out was not the brightest and had pure scammer intentions. He tried bringing the price down $60 from what I was told the evening before. And tried comparing what I brought in to a completely different gucci belt he saw online. When I questioned it That guy with the feminine name, Desme, I think he said. Stepped in and said we're not gonna go back and forth. Which I wasn't trying to either I simply asked about their process of coming to a $ amout. Which was last sold price then 40% of that. He then replied with "well that girl who helped you yesterday is new and she's not trained properly" yet the guy who was also trying to lowball said the exact same process of how they do things.
