Dollar General — Local services in Wharton Township

It should have been a quick trip. I grabbed my things and stood in land. Or at least I tried. I got in line behind 3 older women with their carts brimming with toys and other products. There was only one person working behind the counter. After a few minutes another person stepped behind the counter and called me over.

I go over there and get my stuff ready at the counter and the woman says the ATM needs to restart first. So she does that. Then again. And again. And again. At this point its been 5 minutes of trying to get this ATM started and the main line has gained a few new occupants. I go to the back of the line and wait another couple minutes to get a second chance at checking out.

This time I successfully managed to actually scan things and get to the next step of putting my card in the machine. Yay. I follow the on screen prompts. Put card in, beep, take card out. End of instructions. The cashier then bitterly asks me if I meant to hit no on the transaction and I had to explain to her several times that I followed the prompts and wasn't given any option to even hit anything else. She eventually realizes she screwed up the prompts on her end of the machine I'm sure she's been using for years.

This might be the best store in the area, but solely because it is the ONLY store in the area. They have signs all over the store stating that masking is required, but none of the employees actually bother to wear them. It is disorganized and messy. With items haphazardly piled at the endcaps and between aisles. I know it’s a pain, but you’re probably better off driving to a neighboring town or even to a gas station convenience store where you want be shopping in a messy environment and where they actually care about employee and...

People working here were bazaar! The store was a wreck! There were no shopping baskets the employees saw me looking for a empty cart and I even looked right at them and said "I Guess No Carts Available?" They just ignored but watching me and continued there personal conversation. As I walked the floor I saw why there was no carts they were everywhere crowding the isles overfill with old inventory they pulled but just left whereever! I picked up a few items that other Dollar General's have been out of.. so...
