Wharton General Store — Local services in Wharton Township

This place is a little slice of heaven, in what they call “God’s country”. Traveling through for work, this place caught my eye so I stopped. Walking in reminded me of a place back home, country, old fashioned, wooden floors and all. I checked around at all the neat things, and grabbed a scoop of Perry’s ice cream, then sat out front enjoying the fresh mountain air.

Sadly I was driving, but if I wasn’t, I would have enjoyed a cold beer in the “basement”, darn!

Anywho, if you’re rolling through 827 in beautiful Potter County, you should definitely stop by for some ice...

Very good place has all the staples you need. Friendly staff. They have hunting and fishing supplies and souvenirs too. Hand dipped ice cream and wheel cheese cut to order. Deli dairy & meats bacon and cheese frozen meat items Steaks sausage gr beef etc. and a good selection of treats and drinks too. Gas pumps and ice for sale . Bar next door is a great mountain bar atmosphere and sells good hot food items and has a special nightly. Satellite TV and a view of the East Fork of the Sinnemahoning creek through a big picture...

This place is amazing! I stop here everyday and get icecream when my brother and i are done fishing! Their ice cream is refreshing as well as their other goods. I do recommend going to this place. If you are having trouble with like you are running outta diesel fuel perhaps, just ask and they can tell you where things are (you can get diesel in Austin) but i do recommend this...
