We went with a friend who lives locally on 3rd Sept., and had a really awful experience there!

We felt we were 'CONNED' into buying a more expensive menu, and we were overcharged as they charged the price of 18pieces while serving only 16pieces!

They posted a sign on the wall, stating: "No Table Service", so husband went to the bar, and ordered: 2 x 8pieces wings (the choices were 6 or 8 pieces, at around $6 or $8, if I remember correctly), a cheeseburger, a portion of fries, and 3 beers When he was about to pay, they told him to just pay for the beers and to pay for the food after we ate. They even told him that they would bring the food to our table, which they did as we sat only a couple of feet away from the bar.

When we got the food, the chicken came in portions of 8 pieces each, so we just ate them.

The massive SHOCK came when husband went to pay for the food. It was over $50!!!

Now, what the order taker did was SNEAKY! Instead of writing 2 x 8 pieces wings, she wrote 1 dozen + half a dozen of wings with BONES, which turned out to be $19/dozen!!

What husband failed to say was the word 'boneless' when he ordered the food. Had he paid after ordering (prior to cooking the food, just as it should be in a place with No Table Service), it would have been clear that the price was for the wrong items, and he would have just stated that we wanted the boneless ones.

Also, how did the order taker decide to write: 1 dozen + 1/2 a dozen, when husband clearly stated 2 x 8pieces, AND the food was served in 8pieces each? Had the food come as written by the order taker, we would've spotted the error then too - prior to eating, so we wouldn't pay for something we didn't order!

As for the quality of the food (16 pieces of wings with bones, a portion of fries, and a cheeseburger), DEFINITELY was NOT WORTH $50+!!!

Another thing that I'd like to forewarn others about this place is: They only...

Very unacommodating. I reserved the apartment one and a half months early and she double rented it. After that was cleared up and I reserved for five days, after driving 4 1/2 hours I was told I only had it for 3 days and I would have to move to the hotel. 2 of my guys cancelled their trip after taking time off work, and my trip was cut,2 days short. I am disabled and the hotel would not have served my needs as it is only a room with beds and a shared bathroom. I have hunted Potter county for years but hadn't been back in a while until this year. Will not deal there again!! Very dissatisfied. And take slippers to wear, the...

Was here April 12th-15th 2013, and the same time in 2008. Place hasn't changed in the past 5 years at all. The area is pretty void of civilization for about 20 miles in any direction, except for cabins and camps. nifty general store where you can buy bait, t-shirts, potter county novelties, fishing supplies, etc. They sell gas, just be prepared to pay substantially more for it then you're used to. The bar is decent, but it does tend to get packed during trout season. All and all, a great stop to get some suds while in...

Great local watering hole. Had a great time here when up at camp. Staff and locals are a lot of fun. Beer was cold. Didn’t get a chance to eat but the food looks good. Will stop in for dinner next time.

Only stopped for ice cream. They give large servings for a reasonable price.
