i am 26 years old from southern indiana. i am vacationing here for the weekend for a girls trip. i stumbled upon this door on the way to kroger and decided to check it out. after spending $150 on mic. grocery items, they carded me on my alcohol. being carded was no big deal as i am 26 years old. the young associate took my ID to what appeared to be, a manger who held it for at least 5 minutes. the manger then came back to me and told me that my ID was “fake” because my ID did not have a brown star on the top right corner. according to her “google image search” that is what indiana license look like. after i explained to her that it is only if you are going to travel via airplane, and has to be on your license by October of 2020. she then refused to serve me alcohol and i asked to for her to scan it to prove to her that it is real and she said, “we can’t do that here.” if you’re going to sell alcohol, you need to be able to distinguish between a real and a fake drivers license. as this was inconvenient for me, i took my business to the shell gas station less than a mile down the road, where the attendant easily scanned my REAL Indiana drivers license and i walked out with a 12 pack of beer. moral of this comment: do not sell alcohol if you cannot distinguish between a real or fake ID. for this is really inconvenient for out of town guests.i know in the future that i will continue 5 extra miles down the road to kroger where i can use my 100% legal indiana...

This store is conveniently located for my family but if given the choice we go farther abroad. It seems they select newhires that fit a clique of the most customer service deficient people in our area. No smiles. No thank you. Actually you feel in their way and an interruption of their day. The only fairly nice person was the mgr recently hospitalized. Examples of the rudeness throughout my use of their store have been...me 8 months pregnant and a full basket of groceries. The person bagging offers a young girl 2 bags laden a helping hand while I'm struggling to get outside the oddly set up door. Another time I need to trade in a propane tank the young man tells me we are out. I know how they refill and seal tanks. They had plenty and he didnt want to help me. I really liked working as the meat manager at this store and working with the people. But when you get a store manager then that doesn't care about their job or the store it makes it difficult for the ones that actually like working and are passionate about their work. All Russell does is sit in the office on the computer, doesn't talk to many people and is basically not qualified to be a store manager. By far the laziest store manager I have ever seen. I cleaned up and straightened out the meat department and the thanks I got was getting fired for trying to do my job. Hard workers never get recognition...
