I bought a few items. It was a couple days before they closed for the season I believe in all fairness. I bought a medium bag of apples for like 10 or $12 . Honestly two days later half the apples had brown spots and were mushy very very disappointed. When I got home and tasted the apples they were honestly horrible tasting apples if I was to guess they were picked a couple months ago and they were selling them at full price saying that the apples are delicious and is fresh as they get that's why you pay a little bit more money this was my first time going here my opinion I don't trust buying apples hear... It's pretty obvious since it was the last day open for the season they knew the apples were bad So no apple pie for my family. That's three bags at that price so you're looking a little over $30 wasted on sour nasty mushy apples. I guess they figure if they put the mushy ones on the bottom the customers won't realize Not good for business. This establishment deals with apples in a large orchard they know what's good and how long things last. But I guess revenue is...
Read moreAmazing place to visit! Love the Broken Barrel cider and the wide open space. There are signs for no dogs, but there are 2 dogs that are free roaming on the property. The Broken Barrel bartenders said that the dogs were theirs and that my SA was fine. We let him off leash to play with their dogs and they were having a lot of fun. The orchard owner said to not bring my SA back, because they dont allow dogs. With 2 free roaming dogs running around, their rules are very confusing. SA's are federally protected under law and it is illegal to deny me access to any space with my SA. I have a heart condition and CPTSD, so I will not be coming back. Maybe review those laws before you tell a handler to not bring their SA. Very disappointed in the way this was handled. The owner didn't stick around for a conversation or ask us any questions. He just said it as he walked by, so there was no opportunity to tell him our...
Read moreI really like this place! It’s small, but enough parking and things to do. We didn’t do any apple picking this time but I know it’s a smaller selection and less walking than other places nearby. This is the only orchard I know of that sells hard cider with a little lounge area. Even though I don’t drink, this is a great hang out/ get together spot for sure, especially if you’re into the rustic, farm vibe. They have a hay pile for the kids and a little area to play around as well as a good sized seating area outside with shade. Unfortunately I didn’t take pictures but worth a stop especially to meet the wonderful, friendly staff...
